This roller only works on the outer edges. I tried to paper, paper plates, and plastic after I noticed it wasn't piercing my skin. I discovered only the outer needles will actually pierce or even indent anything. Most of the roller skins over the top. It will work if I press down firmly, but then it hurts. It's plastic not metal. Look for a better one.

Gross!! I received a used one with a wad of hair in it!

I was surprised to read the tiny print that indicates that the roller is usually good for 4 to 5 uses. I wrote the supplier and the answer was disappointing. It said that yes it may only last 4 to 5 uses. I would then need to buy a new roller. The site does not indicate how to order new rollers and the reply from the supplier did not indicate any information on cost or how to order new rollers . Am returning unused
