This is not a super heavy duty safe like you might see in the movies where rich people or gangsters keep their stacks of cash. This is a neat and adequate home security box if you are not a rich gangster. About the size of a breadbox and similar to what you might find in the closet of some hotels to keep your valuables safe enough. Just safe enough. As a bonus, this has a couple of heavy duty installation bolts that secure through the back of this safe; that if put in a solid wall will keep it safe from all but a determined thief with a crowbar. Good idea as this thing is portable. It might not be totally fireproof as it only has a double, air gap metal wall but you can get fireproof bags to keep precious papers or money safe from fire. This is just basic security box that fits neatly under my bed and out of sight. Not super bank level security but safe enough for home. For the price, convenience and size hard to ask or expect more. This is a good secure system with a digital keypad and extra key backup for access if password forgotten or batteries dies. (Just don't lock the key in the safe, duh). This has a slot in top for easy insertion of envelopes, folded papers or cash. This is a nice little bank and a good gift idea for kids who have outgrown a piggy bank or students in a dorm room. This is good enough to do the job asked of it. A nice safe and a good deal and a pretty darn good gift idea.

It would seem to take a little bit of time to try and break this thing open if you were trying to get into it for real . The robber notices the safe but time is ticking and the family is on their way back home from the store so he better hurry up , I guess it would be like beat the clock for the perp because you could have the safe screwed through the back and held in place by with these 2 seemingly heavy duty anchor bolts which is a great feature also make sure you do not keep them in there lol. The keypad is very responsive and works well and is even back lit for nighttime use ,very simple to program, and it looks good. END RESULT: I would definitely recommend this especially for teenagers or maybe a little younger, giving them a place to possibly put some stamps or coins in there if they were into collecting, really it’s about keeping whatever is valuable to them or the owner of the “safe”. Good product.

I definitely would not use this for really important items, but it is a nice size to lock away items that you don’t want immediately accessible such as medications when there are kids around. It is lightweight and basic. The initial taking off the plastic covering the key hole took me forever and I almost gave up before finally prizing the part off! It is good to have that option if a key because I never trust battery keypads completely. Setting a new code was straightforward enough, and opening the safe is then easy.

This mini safe is so sturdy it could probably survive a wrestling match with a grizzly bear (though I don’t recommend testing that theory). And the keypad lockout after three wrong attempts? Genius. It’s like the safe is giving thieves a timeout to rethink their life choices. Installation was a breeze, thanks to the pre-drilled holes. I bolted it to the wall, and now I’ve got my own fortress of solitude. Bonus: watching anyone try to pry it open is like watching a toddler try to open a pickle jar. Not happening.
