Review: Bose Makes Hearing Aids too - This is for the Lexie B2 Plus Powered by Bose hearing aids. I really like them, here is my story: I first purchased expensive hearing aids in 2009 when I had no clue what my soft-spoken female students were saying in my physics class. I have tinnitus and a frequency loss in the area of the female voice frequency range (no joke). I first went to the place that sends you mailers every day, will take you to lunch and will give you a free hearing test. The cost was 4 times what I paid for my first car. I did not purchase from that company; I purchased hearing aids from an Audiologist that said the amplified sound would help with the tinnitus and they cost around $6,000. Because my classroom was warm, sweat appeared in back of my ears and the batteries would short out midday. Teachers do not make a whole lot of money and these hearing aids lasted a couple days after the warranty lapsed. In 2017, I tried the Costco hearing aids they were also fitted by an Audiologist in South Florida for around $1,700 and they were rechargeable. Costco replaced parts but the hearing aids died after I ran out of warranty. In 2020, I attended a service fair for seniors, and they had an Audiologist that said she could beat the Costco price and fix my tinnitus with specially designed hearing aids. The price was good. The first set lasted a week, and they replaced them with a more expensive model. I declined the monthly fee to keep the hearing aids tuned up because I am pretty much an expert at cleaning hearing aids. They lasted until the warranty lapsed. Then at the end of 2025 after aggravating my wife for repeats of what she said and cranking up the TV to the point it vibrated the windows; I realized I had to do something. I had three criteria: · I wanted something rechargeable · I wanted something reasonably priced · I wanted control of ambient noise in the room to make voices clearer. Just like my Boise Quiet Comfort headphones. I read all the reviews, the best products recommended lists. The Lexi hearing aid reviews did not seem very good. But then I realized that the people reviewing had never worn hearing aids before. Hearing aids take some getting used to. And if your loss is more evident you must use the “closed dome” hearing speaker cover in your ear canal. Previous hearing aids did not pull in the full audio spectrum, they just pulled in the frequencies you were missing, so you needed holes in the hearing aid dome (the part that plugs your ear canal) to bring in the regular sound. That is not how the Lexi works. It takes in everything and because it is taking in everything, if you have significant loss you need to plug off your ear canal or it will create feedback, lots of feedback. To top it off they are made with Bose noise cancelling technology, the same as my favorite headphones. Still, I was skeptical, and since I have desertcart Prime, I knew I could return the hearing aids if they did not work. On 02/07/2026 I purchased my pair of Lexi hearing aids. I believe they arrived the next day. I had a little trouble pairing them and I called tech support. A very nice guy helped me pair them (I probably should have read the instructions). Then he said, just follow the prompts in the app (or something like that). I was skeptical still, and he stayed on the line with me while I worked through the app. It was so simple. Then the app gave me the SAME hearing test I had taken so many times with an Audiologist. I think it was a better test because it was through the hearing aids themselves instead of a set of headphones that the audiologist used. That way, how your hearing aid fits in your ear canal could change the results of your test and give you a better result. Then the app told me it was done. No kidding it WORKED. You turn them on and it pays a note. When it starts up, you hear all of the fan noise of computers and other noise; but then, it is gone, and what you hear is clear. Each ear is like that. With the app, you can control the amount of sound, the different modes for different surroundings. Sure, if you are in the car with the window rolled down you can turn off the left hearing aid and you don’t hear the wind noise, or you can change the environment in the app. However, the reality is that the native mode without using the app is just fine. Lessons learned: • Do not attempt to wear them all day on the first day. If you have been without hearing aids for a while, it will wear you out. • Make sure you have a good contact with the hearing aid seated properly in the charger when you place them on charge. I thought I had a problem because it ran out of charge quickly, but it turns out it was not seated in the charger correctly. I would highly recommend the Lexi, they were the least costly hearing aids I have bought and have worked the best.
Review: Light weight, comfortable and give good result for moderate hearing loss - Work well for me, with my moderate hearing loss. Good customer service - an issue with one hearing aid not connecting was fixed with two phone calls. Convenient having controls on my iphone for volume, environment, etc. Charge case small but sturdy. Good reception; no whistling once devices are in the ears; no discomfort wearing them for most of the day. Very small and discreet on the ear, and comfortable in the ear - very light weight. Set-up needs patience, but a good instruction book is provided, and customer phone service is excellent.

### ⭐ These stopped working properly after several months.
*by K***G on September 8, 2024*

These are the second brand of hearing aides I've tried. The first ones wouldn't hold a charge for me, but the hearing test was good and I liked them otherwise. The hearing test that came with these was awful. The sounds were way too loud and there was a lot of echo. I could hear my hair when I pushed it back and my glasses when I put them on. I'm wearing them now, after lowering the volume and treble. I'll try wearing them for a day and then decide if they should be returned or kept. I have a feeling that the hearing test I took at the audiologist was incorrect too. I'm never sure if I hear the little beeps or not. I'll update this after wearing these for a day. I'm adding another star. I can hear quite well with these, but I'm frequently turning the volume up and down and sometimes one or the other ear goes mute and I can't unmute it. it might just take more time to figure all of this out, but things are at least progressing. I've had these for less than a year and have downgraded my review. They worked well in the beginning and I didn't wear therm all of the time as I didn't feel I needed them except to watch tv or was out with a large group of people. After about 6 months, they started making weird, noises, mostly swishy sounds. At first this only happened when I was on my phone. I called for support and the person I spoke to was very helpful so I thought the problem was solved. But, a few days later, whenever I put the left one in my ear, as soon as I turned the aide on, the horrible noise started again. I tried several times but it was hopeless. I also had problems at times getting them connected by my phone. Like many other people who gave reviews, I bought them as I've always trusted Bose Speakers, It was a mistake. I wasted 1000 dollars. Btw, a local pharmacy is now selling these for 500 dollars, which makes me think they really never were worth as much as I paid. Don't waste your money. You might be better off buying a really cheap pair of hearing aides for about 100 dollars as they couldn't be more unreliable than these have been for me.
