Absolutely works! Great purchase.
I purchased this with pretty low expectations. Every summer I have a swarm of carpenter bees that go to work on the arches of my roof. You'll literally hear them tapping against windows from inside the house. After 2 days I had one bee in the trap. 2 weeks later I had zero bees flying around the exterior of my house and the trap was completely full. I emptied it and left just one bee inside and at the moment it is half full and I have not seen any bees airborne anywhere near the roof all summer. I positioned it in a window corner below the bee activity spot. Best part is I can take it inside in the fall and remount next year.

Works!
It was easy to assemble and hang, and worked - caught carpenter bees and wasps too

Effective trap
Updated review. My initial thought was that this is a disappointing purchase since it caught only one bee while the rest were boring holes in surrounding areas a few feet away. I have better luck with a fly swatter. 2 weeks later, I started seeing new residents in the two traps. They really worked! After 3 weeks, the body count was 9. Best part of that I no longer see them when I’m enjoying the outdoor deck and gazebo. Glad to have purchased them. Highly effective solution to a common problem.

Works as advertised but need more than one, and they are expensive.
Pretty cool little trap. It worked like they said it would. One bee goes in and cannot get out, and after a while there are a bunch of dead bees in the trap. I guess only down side so far is you need many to cover around a house or deck, and they are pretty expensive. I had one up before this order. It has been up for 3 years and seems to be holding up through the elements.

Incredible! Actually works way better than chemical sprays.
I am thoroughly impressed with this carpenter bee trap! Last year, I spent a lot of money and effort trying out different chemical sprays, but they barely did anything to solve my bee problem. This year, I decided to give this trap a try and bought two of them to hang around the house. The results have been amazing—within just a short period, each trap has already caught 5 to 6 carpenter bees! It’s highly effective, super easy to set up, and a much cleaner solution than spraying chemicals everywhere. If you are dealing with carpenter bees drilling holes into your siding or deck, don't waste your time on sprays—just get these traps. Highly recommended!

This is not the way
Cool design but really doesn’t work well. I used this for a few months and never caught a single of the bees. Too expensive for the small chance you have at catching one. You get conned into buying the bait as well, but it’s all not effective. Save your money.

I CANNOT, IT WORKS
I mean 🤢🤢🤢🤢 We installed this less than a week ago. Truth be told, I actually installed the little clear plastic dome part backwards 😂 But that doesn't seem to matter! We read that you're more likely to catch more bees if you drop a dead bee in there, because they release pheromones and attract other bees. My husband smacked one down with a flyswatter and popped it in the trap, and now we have who knows how many bees in here! It is actually so gross! I'd say maybe six? It's also recommended to fill any holes the bees have previously made before installing the trap so that the only holes they can take refuge in are the ones in the trap, so we filled about eight holes and clearly they were resorting to the trap instead of their original holes. I can finally use my front door again without feeling scared or nervous, and mostly it's just so satisfying to see these huge bees captured because they scared the living daylights out of my toddler. Would definitely recommend! Just make sure to do the necessary prep work to see the results you're wanting (aka: filling holes and popping a dead or dying bee in there if you're able). We didn't use any bait!

Easy to assemble
Hi- Traps just arrived, easy to assemble and very sturdy. Well worth the money. I will report in on how well they work at some point. My only issue: for the money, you would think the company would give some bee attractant with the order. I purchased 4-2pack pro units and did not get an ounce of attractant….

Make sure to purchase the upgraded version. Better design with great results!!
Not very good. They eventually find their way out again!! *** I have since received my second order of these bee traps thinking at that time, I would need more to set up at different locations. This second order was placed before trying out the first order. With the second purchase, I noticed The upgraded design has been modified at the entry hole going into the plastic container. They added a plastic circular ring preventing the bees from escaping. The second picture shows the upgraded design compared to the first one I've submitted. Wow! Amazing. I have since been trapping bees non stop! I now have to change this to a 5 star!!

Got those Bees very quickly!
We have 6 bees trapped within a couple of hours of mounting the traps. We hope this success continues as we have been bothered by these carpenter bees for 2 years.

This carpenter bee trap really works!
This carpenter bee trap really works. On the first warm day, a few carpenter bees were caught in this trap hanging on my wood shed. I recommend this trap to anyone who has a carpenter bee problem in their yard.
