The reason for this is by routing the signal from your computer into the Sprout100 you will be taking advantage of the fantastic DAC built into the Sprout100. **Q: Is the subwoofer out line-level or speaker-level?** A: Line level only. **Q: I was wondering if these will drive a pair of pioneer sp-fs52 andrew jones designed floor standing loudspeakers at reasonable volume (small bedroom)?** A: This is exactly what I'm planning to do, and it seems like it should work fine. That's a 6-ohm speaker, and the power ratings for the Sprout are listed at 50 W into 8 ohms, or 100 W into 4 ohms. Power for 6 ohms should be somewhere in between, but it's hard to tell exactly. Sensitivity is listed at 87 dB for the FS52. That should be nice and loud even at 50 W, but at 100W it would be even better!
