It's a firm, yet comfortable exercise and play area on an unforgiving hardwood floor. Its large size is plenty big, it's lightweight and easily folds to be stored against the wall. I intended this to be my exercise mat but my daughter has taken to practicing her backwalkovers on it. My 3 year old likes to lay on it while he lines up his dinosaurs. It's held up very well despite 3 active bodies using it. It’s durible and sturdy, easy to open and fold back up, and is firm. I also like that there are multiple color options and that if you purchase multiple mats, that they can be linked up by their Velcro strips, as well as be secured to the floor with Velcro.
