Love, love, love
I was looking for a replacement mattress for my grandsons full size bed. I was visiting for a month and his skinny foam mattress that came with the bed was awful!!! I researched everywhere for a good decent mattress, but not too pricey either. I found this on Ashley Furniture's website, and loved all the reviews, so decided to try it. When I went to complete the purchase, delivery would have been 2 weeks later. There was no point! I decided to see what Amazon had and just by chance put this mattress in the search bar. Same price!!!! Not only that, it was available within 3 days, with Prime FREE delivery, which I would have had to pay for with Ashley Furniture. I chose 4 days as we had plans on that 3rd day. Not only did it come when requested, I was offered free setup and removal of the old mattress at time of purchase! But I was skeptical, no way were they going to set up, they'd drop the box and say thank you ma'am! I was BLOWN AWAY - they arrived and asked `where do you want this ma'am?' They took it upstairs to the bedroom I showed them. Removed the old mattress, unpackaged the new one and it started expanding. They took all the trash and the box, and the old mattress with them. Yay!!! I was happy as a clam. Within minutes you could test out the bed, but we let it expand for 24 hours just to be safe, and because I wanted it to be at its greatest potential. One of the reasons I picked this mattress is I hate those newfangled ones that are all foam! You seem to sink into them, hard to turn, and just downright uncomfortable. This mattress reminded me of my beauty rest. It has separate coils for support, then the foam, pillow top. I don't like firm mattresses, and not super soft, I picked this plush one, its a medium firmness with just enough plush softness to feel comfortable and with some give for a woman's hips as a side sleeper and stomach sleeper. I'm home now in my own bed, but my grandson loves his new mattress! His room is always used for guests too, and my oldest grandson and his girlfriend slept on it and told me it was great!!!! Much better than the old crappy foam. I'm sure I'll get more compliments on it as my daughter has more visitors. Especially will be happy when I visit again knowing I'll get a good nights sleep going forward. My granddaughters now want new beds, same as this one! I've also decided to get one of these for our 5th wheel as it only has a skinny foam mattress. Can't wait to order and then try it out! This is a great mattress, and as I said, one you'll get at Ashley Furniture Store, but won't take as long or cost you delivery fees.

Great bed at fantastic price!
Great bed for the price! Very comfy, on the softer side not firm, bouncy have used for a couple of months now and very happy and would repurchase again for other beds, if you’re on the fence for this or a more expensive bed BUY THIS! Worth it!

Great buy
I was just setting up a spare bedroom and didn’t want to invest a lot, so this mattress had good reviews but was under $300 so I was not expecting much. It arrived in a box all rolled up. After letting it expand I was pleasantly surprised this is a really nice mattress! It’s nice quality, looks like a real mattress and not just foam AND it’s actually very comfortable! No complaints here. Highly recommend, again for the price paid.

Very happy with this mattress!
1st MONTH: Arrived quicker than expected. That's always nice! Unpacked and leaned against the wall, since instructions say to let breathe 24 - 48 hours. Reading reviews and a family member's experience with a new mattress, I immediately was focused on any bad smells. NONE. Didn't have ANY smell to it. After close to 60 hours (I wasn't in a hurry), I zipped the mattress protector on it and put it on my frame and added sheets. Couldn't wait to lie down and just feel it. Definitely notice the cushy top layer. But, it was soft and comfortable. It's a solid feel! I moved naturally to see how it felt. My only negative impression was that it's not as firm as I like. BUT - it's also not for me. This was bought for 2 under 10yr old children to use when they stay at my house. Anyway, I have it on a frame that doesn't have a box spring, but is supported by slats. I slept on it the first night and, again - felt that it's not as firm as my actual bed, but I slept well and woke up with no adverse feelings. I can't complain at all. Makes no noise when moving. It's thick enough. It's comfortable. Seems to be made VERY well! The girls spent the night the next 2 nights and the first night - well . . . they ended up in my bed and I ended up sleeping in this one. Again - fell right to sleep and woke up feeling fine. It's still a little cool at night, so no way to make a real impression about the cooling gel. The next night I made sure the girls stayed in the bed, and they're 7 & 8, so they don't care. They slept. It's still VERY early into the life span of this mattress, and truth be told, it probably won't get a lot of use on a regular basis since it's in the extra bedroom. But, I'm happy. It took me months to decide on a mattress. The "Design by Ashley" part was the draw. Ashley mattresses have great reviews. The price was the next draw - holy fatwallets, batman - mattresses are expensive anymore. Amazon customer reviews are the next draw. This one had less legitimate negative reviews than the others in the price range. At this point, if I needed another mattress, I'd look at the other options in the Signature Design by Ashley store. I'm happy with this purchase and would get a more firm model next time.

Firm and very comfortable.
Love this mattress. I use it in my RV and it is a firm mattress that is very comfortable. The material is made of high quality and keeps me cool at night. The size is perfect and sheets fit on it nice and snug. I liked it so much I ordered another for the bed in my house. Definitely worth the money.

Tried others, but keep coming back to this one—the quality wins.
I recently purchased my second Chime mattress, and after a few detours with other brands, I’ve realized this is the one to beat. I bought my first one several years ago and was really impressed with the longevity and comfort. Since then, I actually tried two other popular mattress brands for different rooms in the house, but honestly, they didn't compare. The support and overall build quality on this Signature Design by Ashley model are just significantly better. It holds its shape well over time and provides that perfect balance of firmness and comfort that the other brands seemed to lack. I’m happy to be back with this model for my latest purchase—it’s definitely become my go-to.

Buy for kids NOT adults!
I wanted to like this mattress so badly! Here’s the details: I’m a plus size woman (245 pounds) with bulging c-spine discs and fibromyalgia. My life is full of pain but I really wanted to improve my neck and shoulder pain with this purchase of a new mattress. My previous mattress did me good for almost 7 years but I should have gotten rid of it a year ago. It was a hybrid mattress that helped my pain because it was soft but sturdy. My review on this mattress: Firstly, the mattress is beautiful but lacks in quality. It’s really bouncy which shocked me. I literally bounce around on it and I’m a big girl! With all the bounce, comes the lack of support that larger people need or people with bad backs hopes for (both in my case). It reminds me of my bed when I was a kid (I’m almost 52). The first couple of weeks, I really like the very thin layer of cushion/memory foam on top of the mattress but it seems to have disappeared because I’m already feeling pressure from the springs. I’ve given this mattress and my body approximately a month to adjust and I’ve ended up with very sore tendon/muscle in my back on the lower left. I sleep on my left side so I guess it’s safe to assume, the pain is from this mattress. UGH! I’ve added a bamboo mattress pad and I can still feel the pressure from the springs when I’m lying on my side. It lacks any support (hence all the springs and being so bouncy). This would probably it be a great bed for kids or teens but for adults who work hard and/or have physical issues, this bed shouldn’t be considered. I’m considering returning it but I have no idea how to return a purchase, much less a mattress, bought from Amazon.

An ideal product for homes with narrow stairwells
I purchased this mattress on Amazon for a specific reason -- I have a very narrow stairwell in my home, leading from the main floor to the bedrooms. Traditional bedding just won't fit very well. The idea of a mattress that "comes in a box" was very appealing, and it definitely worked as advertised. But there are a couple of things purchasers should be aware of. Like many who live in vintage homes, I have a narrow staircase with a curving flight of stairs. This kind of staircase is not friendly to those of us who have newer, larger beds. They weren't making queen-size beds when this house was built in 1935, and you just can't get a queen box spring up the stairs. I had to toss mine. I just couldn't use it. And I got my old queen mattress up the stairs only by scrunching and twisting it. Now, the box-spring problem I was able to deal with, by buying a metal-frame box-spring you assemble yourself. You can carry the box upstairs and assemble it in the bedroom. I found those on Amazon. But when it came time for a full-size mattress for the guest room, I found myself thinking a mattress that comes in a box and expands upon opening would be much more sensible than a standard mattress. This particular mattress is priced about the same as a standard mattress, so no problem. Now, this mattress is absolutely fine. It expanded properly when I removed it from the box, and it is nice, solid and firm. It was strange to watch it take full shape in seconds when I removed the plastic outer wrap. What will those miracle boys dream up next? But I should make two observations. The first is that I made a mistake when ordering. This mattress is offered in two sizes, 9 inches thick and 12 inches thick. Nine inches is the standard mattress size. I ordered 12 inches, thinking it would be plusher, but when I finally got it seated on the bedframe I had to think I would have been better off with nine. The mattress is about 5-6 inches above the level of the footboard, and it doesn't look quite right. It also seems a bit too bulky for the small bedroom. But the way I look at it, this was my mistake -- and I can hardly see a way to return a mattress when it has already been taken out of the package and it has expanded to full size. I mean, it can't be resold to anyone else. I can live with it. The second thing worth knowing is just how heavy this mattress is -- probably twice as heavy as a standard mattress. In 12-inch size, the full mattress is 76 pounds. It is really a two-person job to get it up a steep staircase. The box has no handles and it is pretty unwieldy. During our current coronavirus shutdown I couldn't call anyone for help, and it took me a while to figure out how to push it up the stairs. Once in the room, the box was so heavy and the space in the room was so tight that I couldn't pull the mattress out, as the pictures on the box suggest. Indeed, the box doesn't open very easily -- the end flaps are glued solidly shut. I had to set the box atop the assembled box springs and then carve the box with a kitchen knife, and remove the cardboard around the mattress until I finally had it free. I could hear the mattress trying to expand when I removed it from the box -- wheezing noises, etc. But the expansion really took off when I began carefully undoing the plastic wrap. The box says it might take 48 hours to fully expand. Well, I would guess the mattress was fully expanded within one minute of the removal of the plastic wrap. Poof. No waiting involved. Anyway, the mattress is firm and comfortable, as good as any standard mattress, if not better. I wish I'd ordered the nine-inch version, but that's on me. This one will suit my purposes perfectly. But when it comes time to move, sometime not-very-soon, I hope, I am not looking forward to lugging that mattress down the stairs.

Not 12 inches but I slept great on this bed.
Thank goodness I decided to switch my mattress for a better one(Ashley 12 inch Chime). My sibling has this mattress and I was given positive feedback. I got the firm because that’s what I prefer to sleep on. I experience zero back pain and it’s very comfortable to sleep on. Despite my mattress not reaching 12inches after 5 days of giving it extra time to fully expand, I would still recommend this mattress to anybody seeking a peaceful night’s sleep. Most certainly worth the money. I had back issues sleeping on another mattress from a different brand here on Amazon. Not only were the seams coming apart, but the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on.

Not firm at all!
Not firm at all! More like plush/medium. Disappointing. Went to the store from Sweden instead. Same price and much better quality.

Nice at first.... That's it
I have waited about a year and a half to write this review. Initial, the bed is extremely comfortable, however over time it the foam indented and it happend fairly quickly. I had to rotate the bed after about 6 months of use because I would slide into the indentation. The softness and proness to sunken spots is doing the opposite for me than what I initially bought the bed to do. Instead of relieving lower back and hip pain I feel as though this bed exacerbates it. All in all I would have gotten something else had I know, hindsight is 2020

Uncomfortable
I bought this mattress for couple of months now. Not as comfy as my previous mattress. I can feel the big holes on the surface while laying down. It might be worth the price but you may not get a very comfortable sleep.
