Does magic! I have been soaking those mesh filters with hot water for a few days and they still come out greasy and sticky, scrubbing, using other degreaser, nothing helped. I used this product once, it did the work in under 30 minutes without any scrubbing. Honestly so happy. It is a great value fpr money and leaves the mesh filters streaky shine.

My extraction filters were in an absolute state, covered in a thick layer of grease from an embarrassing number of years without a proper clean. I was looking for replacements when I found Oven Mate instead and thought it would be worth a go, given the great reviews. It's not often I'm so impressed by a cleaning product and I hope the photos demonstrate how well this worked! I put the filters in the bath, sprayed them generously, left them for 30 minutes each side then sprayed them with the shower. They look pretty much brand new! As you will see in the photos, I intentionally sprayed one half of one filter to show the cleaning power of the spray! There was the odd bit that needed a second spray but all grease was gone within the hour. Years worth of thick grease gone, not just from the surface but all the way through the mesh! Will keep on top of the filter cleaning with a quick spray and clean once a month from now on. Needless to say my hob extraction works much better too. Looking forward to trying other Oven Mate products!

I have been searching for nearly 15 years for a cleaner/degreaser that really works on metal cooker hood filters. I must have tried 10 different products, ALL of which I have been disappointed with. This stuff is absolutely brilliant. Literally spray it on, leave it, (i left mine for half an hour, and repeated on the flip side) and rinse off. I'm quite staggered at how good it is. I've also used it just sprayed on a cloth to clean the body of the hood. No scrubbing needed, just wipe a layer on, leave for a couple of minutes, and wipe off. You do use quite a bit on each filter, and I've got 12, so having bought 1 bottle to try, I've ordered 5 more, and I'm very happy to spend less than £30, to have them all looking like new again. They've never got this clean before, so this product really had a tough job on to get them this clean. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Just save yourself the bother of trying anything else, and get this.

It is better than any other cleaner we've tried to use on extractor filters but still comes up short by not removing all the grease after several applications and is not very cheap. The best solution for extractor filters we've found is actually putting them in the dishwasher if you can access one - nothing not even this can beat how clean they come up by doing that.

Worked wonders for my super greasy mesh filters left by the previous tenants (probably with years of caked on grease). I soaked them in this spray but probably left a bit too long - so it dissolved the grease but also left some lighter stains on the metal, as if it was bleached. I would then also use it repeatedly on my old electric stove to clean burnt food - it worked well on the metal parts but damaged the rubber coating that heats up, making a hole in it. So when I heated the stove after cleaning, the rubber parts would ooze out this product, and the kitchen smelled like chemicals. So follow the instructions and use it only for the items that the label discribes. It's a powerful chemical.
