It has had no nice door panels all of these years, just the ugly brown pressboard panels that were original from the manufacturer. The manufacturer sells and ships them with the brown pressboard ones, and it is up to the buyer to change them to the nice ones, like wood panels, or colored panels. Well, that never happened, and I finally decided to get nice ones.I looked all over and only the black plastic (acrylic?) ones were available. So the upper freezer door takes the Part Number 639621, and the lower fridge door takes the Part Number 639622. They are sold separately, and I bought them both here on Amazon.I gently pried the upper edge of the black plastic door strip away, and it came away reasonably easily. I pried out the edge of the ugly brown pressboard, and slid it out of the door frame. I cleaned up the residual glue on the foil still in the door. And slid the nice new door panel in.An aside: The new panels are shipped with lots of good packing, and the surface of the new panels are protected by a thin blue film. The thin blue film should be gently peeled off the panel before it is slid into the door frame. My husband liked the blue, so my new black panels still have the blue film on them. The black plastic door edge was then aligned with the bottom, and the raised bead lined up with the slot in the door edge, and then pressed back into place. It took some force, but just with my hands. No tools required.And it fits perfectly. And was easy to do. And the panels look very nice.So, there you go.
