Are these tiles the size of the full-size game, or are they smaller like the portable magnetic versions of the game?

Yes, all MightyMind products use the same size tiles.  The
tiles sets use the same unique proportional design tile sets, except for Mini MightyMind.

These look like the "attribute Blocks" sold by Cuisenaire as similar companies. Does this set have patterns to copy or game instructions?

I am not sure because I gave this to my nephew for his birthday. I would imagine that it would include some sample patterns that you can follow.
