It does not play the ABC song. It does do other songs and sounds out all the letters of the alphabet. Also does numbers and other sounds.

Is this bpa lead and pthlates free?

All materials used in the manufacture of LeapFrog products are child-friendly and approved by the Toy industry Association and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). All plastic materials that are used in LeapFrog products are tested to ensure that they comply with the strictest Toy Industry Requirements for chemical and mechanical safety. Product safety is our number one priority and all LeapFrog products are tested to meet or exceed all government, toy industry, and retailer safety requirements. Although BPA is not currently prohibited for use in toys, we are taking proactive measures to ensure that our new products do not contain BPA. LeapFrog has already taken the steps to voluntarily remove PVC from our products that had been used in the past... Although PVC with phthalates was used in plastic cases of books and software this has now changed. As of December 1, 2006, all Manufactures were required to meet certain standards regarding PVC/Phthalates for San Francisco City and County in California. LeapFrog has been and will continue to meet all toy industry standards for safety in both the United States and Europe.
