I've been using this for some time now and think the quality is quite nice, especially given the price point. Smells nice and applies evenly and doesn't disturb my skin. While there certainly are other options out there that may be better, they are also pricier, and given this met my expectations without breaking the bank, I would consider it a very nice value.

I ordered this because my thoughtful husband often rubs my feet at the end of a long day, and I thought this would be a nice touch for both of us. He’s a fan of chocolate, and I enjoy spiced scents, so this seemed like a great combo. The scent is definitely cocoa-forward, it smells like real chocolate, not cocoa butter. I don’t get much of the spice, and the fragrance is a bit sweeter than I usually prefer. (I tend to gravitate more toward sandalwood or earthy scents.) That said, it’s not overwhelming. The scent softens and mellows once you begin massaging it into the skin, which we both appreciated. The texture is lovely, not greasy, very soothing, and left my skin feeling noticeably softer. It comes in a convenient pump bottle, which makes it easy to use without making a mess. While it’s labeled as a massage oil, I could see someone using it on rough patches or dry skin as well. Overall, it’s a great product. The scent just isn’t my usual go-to, but if you’re a fan of warm, lightly sweet chocolate tones, you’ll probably really enjoy this.

I bought this item in the past and it was amazing. It came in a glass bottle and smelled incredible. I ordered it again and it came in a cheap plastic bottle and the pump didn’t even work; it smelled rancid. Huge bummer.

This review is for the Herb & Root Massage Oils (Spiced Cocoa). I really wanted to like this massage oil. It's made in the US by a family-run business. Unfortunately, the scent doesn't appeal to me at all. It doesn't smell like chocolate; it smells like the scratch-and-sniff version of chocolate. I tried it a few times, hoping the scent would grow on me, but I dislike it so much, I just wash it right off. In terms of the massage oil properties, I have to agree with other reviewers that it rubs in fast for a massage oil. This could be a good or bad thing depending on how you use it. It's great that you don't feel greasy for hours after using it, but you may end up using more for an actual massage. I gave it 3 stars, mostly for the smell, but also that it seems less like massage oil than moisturizing oil. Others may enjoy this scent. I wish I had tried a different one!

Definitely smells like chocolate! Such an indulgent scent!! This oil is not sticky and is absorbed rather quickly. I love it. Great quality.

I have bought this and recommended it to many people over the years but the formula has changed. It now smells chemically and is off putting. I returned this.

Vanilla, chocolate, and cinnamon is an irresistible combination. If we are using that scent, a dessert with ice cream and pastries would be an excellent way to spend the day.
