Kids loved it!
Update: My boyfriend and I purchased more of these for the 9 year old and his 6 year old sister. Still a fun toy, however, it is messy. The 9 year old did pretty well but the 6 year old had the clay stuff everywhere, even with adult supervision. Next time I think we will wait to purchase these in the summer time so the younger kids can do it outdoors. I purchased one of these for a 9 year old's birthday. He loved it! He enjoyed searching the map for his quest and digging out all the pieces from the block of clay. He was lucky enough get one of the rare figurines and the golden skull. He had so much fun, and his 5 year old sister has so much fun watching him, we purchased 6 more for both kids for Christmas. Very good quality product and definitely worth the money. An interactive blind box is way more fun, and worth the money, than a regular blind box. Also, if you get these, visit the company's website and let your kids watch the fun video ad for this product. We were both laughing out loud at the cartoon.

Great item!
My daughter is 4 years old and saw another kid open one of these on YouTube. She asked for one for Christmas and received it in her stocking. Her and her dad had fun "digging" through the sand to collect the surprises. The instructions recommended soaking it in water to soften it, so that is what did. The plaster "sand" broke in pieces and wash away in the tub. It is a fun little activity and collector item. Worth the cost and a great alternative to candy in a Christmas stocking, Easter basket, or Valentines day gift.

Messy Mystery Fun!
My nephew LOVES these things! He enjoys the suspense of slowly carving away the brick from his treasure. He giggles and squeals every time he finds a new piece. It’s great hands-on play and includes a treasure hunt for the mystery find. It IS messy, but that’s half the fun!

Duplicates
While this is a great toy, there are 2 complaints. 1. Be aware the coin matching a specific treasure on the map does NOT mean you get that treasure. So, the map and coin are a waste of time. 2. You will get duplicates of characters. Out of 4 - 2 were the same character.

Happy nephew
bought it for my nephew, he loved it! (I actually knew he wanted it). I gave it 5 stars because from a user’s point of view (my nephew) it was perfect. from my point of view, it was way too expensive for a box of sand, but that’s the price you pay for the marketing behind it, I guess!

Good product, but you can’t just buy one!
My 4 y/o kid liked this so much it’s all he could talk about. He started watching the TV show and all I hear about it how we got “Lord Lootem”. No golden treasure though, he constantly reminds me. He keeps begging for another one!

About 15 min of fun
I'm not sure how other kids spent an hour on this, but for us it was closer to 15 minutes. Definitely do it in the backyard. The map was immediately disregarded and the digging was pretty efficient. The guy was very excited to find each part and assemble the figure, but again - about 15-20min of playtime. Now the figure is forgotten and luckily there's no requests for more. If it was $5, it would've been a better value for money. At $10 - definitely not worth it.

My 5 year old son loves these!!
Treasure X is a fun & exciting "suprise" toy! There are several steps involved before the suprises are revealed; making the child "work" for his/her treasures; instead of just popping open a container & being done. Compared to other surprise toys; this one is actually a great value-- as the treasures inside are worth it!
