Good hedge trimmer
For the price, this is a great after market hedge trimmer and l bought two of them. One fit perfectly on my Husqvarna gas trimmer with no modification. I have Echo trimmers as well (and as other users have stated) the hedge trimmer shaft does need some slimming to fit the Echo shaft. For residential use, you can't beat this product. I've also bought the pole saw attachment from this same company and it works great as well, again fitting my Husqvarna perfectly. A few things to know about the hedge trimmer: you have to keep the cutting blades lubricated during use or they will get too hot and stop working. I've found chain saw bar oil works well. More importantly is not exceeding the cutting capacity of the trimmer, which max is pencil width foilage. Doing so will bind the cutters and shut it down, so don't force it. The cutting head is equipped with grease zerks. While the unit has grease in it, l recommend adding some. Same holds true with the pole saw. I ran the hedge trimmer hard over the course of 3 days on a big job, and after figuring out the issues above, it performed flawlessly. My only con would be (as others have stated) is the weight of the cutter head. I am 6'3" and a physically fit 230 lbs, but this thing had my shoulders and biceps burning after a couple hours. Because the cutter head weight weighs more than the power head of the trimmer, it makes the machine unbalanced. This forces you to continually muscle up the cutter head. This sounds like a bigger complaint than it is because the performance outweighs any negatives, just man up and get the job done. It's just something to be aware if you're a weakling. I'm not sure of long term reliability, but it's already lasted a season and paid for itself after the first hour. This unit will likely not stand up to commercial use but for home use (as long as the tool is not abused) l highly recommend this trimmer.

So far, sooo good!
Ordered this to fit a 10 amp Ryobi expand- it model because of price and extra pole reach. Two other choices were said to be brand specific and not fit. This snaps right into place when the square drive system is aligned. Based on a dry run in the garage because it arrived when raining, the trimmer ran well and is an upgrade for me. There is a little assembly required as you can see from the pic showing the product just out of the box. It was easy to adjust the angle with the adjuster. There are two grease fittings on the metal housing for future maintenance. The housing is not magnetic, probably light weight aluminum. The drive shaft was apparently well greased and the blade oiled. This trimmer is kind of heavy on the long reach. Trimmed overgrowing crabapple and a small maple. Did notice larger branches not being able to get into the trimming action due to a fast blade speed. A stop and start let those branches get into the blades to be cut. This thing did the job! For storing I would have liked a way for the trimmer part to fold down to the extension.

So pleasantly surprised
I bought this item because I have a lot of overgrowth to cut back. I have a Stihl HS-45 gas powered trimmer but as it is hand held and it would be too much bending and reaching to use. I honestly didn't know if any pole trimmer was going to do what I was going to ask anyway so I didn't want to spend $300-$500 on a Stihl or Husqvarna. I think I paid about $80 for this one. It did come in a box bearing a different brand name on it. I think it came as a "badger". I don't know how much the power head you are using comes into play but for reference, I am using this on a Ryobi Expand it power head. Obviously, my Stihl trimmer cuts thicker material with much less effort but I was pleasantly surprised how well this unit performed. I have seen reviews stating it is heavy. Well, put anything on the end of a four foot pole and it will get heavy sooner or later. It is certainly not unwieldy. I found myself cutting in 15-20 minute bursts. This was not because it was tiring to use, that's just the way my days went using it. This thing performed extremely well on weed grasses, vines and even pencil thick branches. It struggled a little with thicker stuff but did manage to cut through it. I had seen reviews stating the head gets hot after running it for a while. I haven't noticed that but I have been hitting the cutting head with WD-40 or PB Blaster before each use (like the directions say). I Do find the cutter head loosens from bar and needs to be tightened up a little. I put threadlock on it and keep an Alan key with me and haven't found it to be a real problem. Speaking of the cutting head, super easy to change the cutting position. Easy to change position 1 handed with no tools. I found myself using it much like a string trimmer cutting low to the ground by positioning the cutter head parallel to the ground. What a treat for my back. If you're a pro or super big brand loyal, of course you will have negative things to say about this product but I have been using (and abusing) this thing on my own property and on a farm with 15 years of overgrowth and creep to it. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again in a heartbeat. It has already saved my money, my back, my time and my energy. For $80, I'll take that all day long.

Don't waste your money
Before I bought it asked if it fit my trimmer, they said yes. Surprise... the holes didnt line up i had to tighten super tight, when I did, it still moved around. Blades were too dull to cut. I managed to roughly trim what I needed. When I tried to put my weekender head back on, it would NOT FIT! I HAD TO HAMMER IT ON! I WANT MONEY BACK.

Needed to be modified to work with Echo PAS, but it worked better than expected.
I knew that this was going to need to be modified to work with my Echo PAS powerhead, but I figured it was so much cheaper than the Echo version, I'd give it a try. The shaft is larger, so I used an angle grinder and flat file to take down the shaft until it would slide into the Echo shaft. I also had to mark and drill the alignment hole about 90 degrees from where it was on this unit. Once I got it installed, I thought it seemed weak. I figured I'd lube it up and try anyway. I lubed each bottom tooth with STA-BIL Blade Guard and ran it to work the lube in, and went to town on the brush in the forest around the family cabin. It worked amazingly well. I was totally shocked at how well it cut, and the size of the brush it could handle. It would chop through any stiff brush, and even small trees that were able to fit between the teeth in the blade. I re-lubed it about every 30 minutes or so, and ran it for about six hours straight. I really didn't expect it to hold up, but it did. Usually when I go cheap, I regret it, but this time I didn't. I was really shocked that this unit was able to be adjusted to an angle that worked at ground level to cut the brush down. I saw someone else say that they were missing a bolt on theirs. I also thought I was, but it was under the flap in the box. I had to look twice before I found it. It was just boucing around in the box, so I guess that wasn't the best packaging on their part. Other than that, I am really happy with how it worked out.

Worked well, then stopped altogether.
It worked wonderfully- while it was working. I did a good bit of work around the house but it only lasted a couple years before it totally stopped moving. I think the gearbox must have gone bad? Even for a cheaper tool I would hope to get more than 2 years of light use out of it. And I can’t find any way to get support for it so maybe leaving an honest review will get the manufacturer to either make them with better internal parts or back up their existing products. Any help would be great thanks! Good design on the outside though guys- sharp, strong, versatile, affordable, but apparently made cheap where it counts.

Changed the way I trim my hedge.
Though a bit on the heavy side, it works great. I originally bought this attachment to reach the top of my corner shrubs at my house. They are as tall as the roof line of the house and I couldn't reach the top any more with a ladder. While the trimmer did a great job being able to adjust the angle to the pole, I got lazy and just started to trim the rest of the lower shrubs with this thing. I just straightened out the trimmer angle and stood back 3 feet or so from the shrubs that are about waist high and started sweeping back and forth over top at the level I wanted. Because of being back some, instead of being right on top of the hedge, I could judge how level I was cutting and the hedge came out beautiful. I guess my other hedge trimmer is going to be relegated to trimming the honey suckle vines on the back fence. Hey it looks like this never got posted and I came back to do an update, so here it is. I guess it's been three years since I bought this hedge trimmer, and I killed it today. This has been a good tool and I abuse it. Sometimes I'd put against a branch an inch or better in diameter and let it ware it's way through until it's thin enough to get a bite on. Well, that kind of wore it out and finally stripped the gears in the head, but it did it many times. I probably should have gotten my chain saw and trimmed those branches. Anyway, this trimmer worked very well, and I will be getting another one, so I'm sticking with my 5 star rating. If used reasonably this tool will probably last as long as your power head, and if not, it will give a few years of service. Anyone know where I could get a new set of gears?

So far will fit Stihl KW 91r
I’m giving this four stars only because I have not used it as of yet. However the four stars might remain for fit, let me explain. I own a Stihl KM 91r, I wanted an attachment for trimming since my dedicated one finally died beyond repair, I did not want to spend the outrageous price for a Stihl one. So I ordered this which actually fits however there are a few drawbacks. First is the head is not designed to fold over on itself (if you know professional products you understand why) next is the angle orientation, it is not parallel to engine, I am now running handlebars so we will see.

Good hedge trimmer
Does the job, but is heavy when you're swinging it around on top of a ladder. You need a gas powerhead. My 40V electric doesn't run it very fast and it stalls with any branch thicker than 1 cm. On a 4-stroke Cub Cadet this thing is a monster, but it is heavy.

Good find on line
as this was available on line and a universal fit and a lot $60 cheaper than what I had on offer from the big green shed. The attachment arrived hear in Australia from the USA it looked like from Texas originally. it was a box inside a box the trimmer was in two pieces so you need a Allen key to putt head unit onto the pole. As you can see in vid it clicked into my ryobi and hole lined up ( no modification needed) The trimmer appears to be well reinforced and dose a good job cutting very happy with it and was well worth the wait getting it shipped here
