BESSEY KFP Panel Carrier,Grey

I've had a pair of these for over a year and they are AWESOME!!! I bought this pair as a gift for a friend of mine who's an architect and loves building his own houses. He had tried mine and couldn't believe how great they worked. When he got his he showed them to a crew working on one of his houses and I think every one of the crew ordered a pair. They are unbelievably GREAT !!!

Excellent materials and build quality.

This is a high quality and well-made tool that does what it says and does it well. The one drawback is the lack of a mechanism to easily release the clamp from the panel. I would suggest putting some small pull wires or other device onto the gripping jaws so they could be opened easily to release the panel.

These are a godsend and save our backs when lifting large countertops. They are also great for a better grip. LOVE THEM!

Best panel carrier ever.

We found these handles to be a great design. We moved 5 drywall panels that were 5/8" X 4' X 12' from our garage to our basement. They made each trip so much easier. We also moved 9 - 1/2" X 4' X 12' panels. Without them we could have never moved that many panels around the outside of our house to the downstairs. Thank You

This tool solved a real problem for me! I sculpt using steel plate, usually ~¼" thick. The stuff is heavy and the edges often sharp, making handling difficult. The tool works excellently, sliding simply over the edge of the material and gripping solidly. I love it. Someone below correctly commented that it's unfortunate that the tool isn't equipped with some means of quickly releasing material from the tool's grip. It is a minor nuisance; you have to use your other hand to pull one of the jaws away. MY SOLUTION (see photos)---The jaws internally feature a number of recesses. I simply cut a piece of heavy duty coat hanger and bent it into a "U." I then bent 5/8" at the end of each of the U's arms 90° so as to fit into the jaws' recesses. To release the tool's grip, I need only pull up on the loop with one finger. Notes: 1) As the hanger loop acts like a spring, make sure it begins life narrow (so you have to spread its arms in order to insert them in the jaws' holes). That way, the U works with the tool pulling the jaws naturally closed. 2) The opening gap produced by pulling up on the loop is ~½" (limited by the location of the holes in the jaws), so the loop does not work to release the jaws when used on thicker materials. Then it's back to the spread manually approach. 3) I had planned to drill and tap the tool's cross member in order to fasten a metal cross-piece there to hold the loop against the tool's body. I found that it simply wasn't necessary. The spring tension holds the loop in position just fine.
