Review: Lighter than advertised. - The advertised weight of the helmet is 16 oz. which is relatively heavy which concerned me. The good news is that it actually weighs 12.5 oz. This makes a big difference on those long rides. I almost didn't purchase it for this reason. The venting is plenty adequate, the fit is very comfortable and easily adjustable. This is the 3rd Giro helmet I have had and never disappointed. BTW.....my last helmet has two cracks in it and saved me a concussion or worse! Thank you Giro!
