Great for pointing out stars
I bought this to point out objects in the sky to students during astronomy labs, and it does the job excellently. The dispersion cap is silly and pointless, but thankfully you can remove it and you're left with a very bright, easily visible beam. (Definitely not for use indoors!) The battery can last through a session which is all I care about, and being rechargeable is a great improvement on older green pointers that would go through AAs or AAAs like candy. The construction feels solid and hopefully will last a while. Overall I can't ask for more for under $20.

Very cool
The range on this thing is amazing! It goes so far, and the other effects it has can light up the whole forest with sparkles. It works very good, and the battery last pretty long in it. I will say we have bought two already because the first one was lost. Great product.

Strong enough to see in all but direct sunlight
Works great for my dog outside. He loves to chase the laser. Too bad I couldn't find a red one as strong.

Bright
This thing is awesome. You can manipulate the beam so it makes cool patterns and you can even take it off just so it’s a regular laserbeam. It is very bright so be careful though and even during the day it is very visible. though mine did come with this weird red stuff on it.

something wrong with the battery
It work until I had to charge it and now it only works while plugged in to a power source, so it looks like the battery is dead.

Good Quality but Limited Range
This is a quality product that is probably like almost every other brand sold by Amazon with the same appearance. It is great for playing with the light show filters and works well for presentations or pointing out things reasonably close at night. BUT, to claim a range of 10,000 feet is VERY misleading. If you were 10,000 feet away from the laser on a clear dark night, and it was pointed right at you, you MIGHT be able to see it; but for pointing out constellations or things of that nature it fails. The visible range is fairly limited. To get the effective range that most of these $10 to $35 lasers claim, you are going to spend upwards of $140.

As described.
Very bright, exactly as described. I use it in an industrial setting to point at things not easy to get to.
