To arm it you have to turn the full circle and then back to the amount of time you need which is a bit odd but it does work :) **Q: Does the timer ticks?** A: My mother says that the tick is heard if you hold it up to your ear to check that it is working, like a watch, but it is not intrusive.... Excellent value for money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great timer *by C***N on 18 April 2026* Bought this for my daughter ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Accurate depending on age of eggs but still works well *by P***L on 5 August 2025* Second puchase after the first one split, but this was used regularly for year before it did.
