Switch on and hold down button 1 for 3 seconds or until you hear handset beep. Let go of button and tag will register. Tag will beep once. If the tag doesn’t beep see manual / check batteries. **Q: How do you un-register a Tag from a handset?** A: The only time to unregister is if you want to use a tag with a different handset. Hold the left hand side button and button tag registered to simultaneously for 3 seconds or until you hear a beep. Then release both. Tag will beep twice to confirm. **Q: I’m having problems registering a tag?** A: Open tag fully then close it. If it beeps twice it’s good. Try again or registerer to a different button. If it doesn’t beep, open and close again. If still no beep try new batteries. If she'd been wearing this device on our recent camping trip, I would have quickly found her hiding spot and not spent 14 hours searching. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent, but could do with more range *by L***H on 30 November 2025* So we used to have some 'Tractive' GPS trackers for our cats - very fancy and everything, but the fact they used to run out of battery every day or two made them very inconvenient. I haven't tried Airtags - but got these instead. They basically use a 'homing device' type idea, the bleeper gets faster as you point towards and get closer to your cat. They work up to about 50/100m, which is alright for our usage. I suppose if your cat was lost, you'd walk the streets until you got a signal and then home in on it. This works well enough to find our cats in ours and surrounding gardens. Plus we found when you press the button, it makes the collar do a ticking noise - our cat has started returning home when it hears that.
