Super easy to set up
The CFS came very well packaged as is normal for Creality to be fair. If you have used the CFS upgrade kit for a K1, K1C, K1SE etc, 2 you will need the power supply and RS485 to USB to finish the install. Setup is super easy I found but this is the 2nd time I've done it. I also had to cut the ptfe tube that goes from the back of the CFS unit to the buffer on the back of my K1C as it was way to long. Once everything was plugged in a loaded the CFS with Creality RFID enabled spools and then starting printing. It worked flawlessly. I do think it's a tad on the expensive side but it works great so I am happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Makes 3D Printing easier and greatly enhances your printing capabilities.
Not having to manually retract or load the filament and having some where to correctly store up to 4 filament reels could be reason enough to buy one of these. The ability of the unit to identify via RFID the colour and other properties of each reel is amazing in itself. But the magic really starts when you start producing multicolour prints, or even just the knowledge that you can :-) The fact that the unit can switch over to another reel (if it is the same material and colour) automatically when a reel runs out, allows the print to complete without user intervention and is a definite plus. The internal temperature and humidity display is clear and big enough that I don't need spectacles to read it. Unfortunately I don't have sufficient time to regale you with all of its many attributes, but lets just say "You won't regret having one :-)"

Doesn't work well with Creality cardboard filament reels.
I have had this CFS for exactly five month as of the date I submit this review, so pretty well used to the foibles of it. A good concept, but unfortunately the different parts of the Creality organization don't put/get their heads together when making the different parts to the greater scheme of 3D printing, like the fact that the filaments that are branded Creality, don't always work in this "Creality CFS", their commendable idea to go away from plastic reels to cardboard doesn't work for this machine, in my case anyway, The compartments for the reels are not all the same, the first and third slots are the same, and the second and fourth are the same but different to the first and third, when putting these cardboard reels in they tilt to the right in the second and fourth slots because the gap at the left of those slots is narrower and the cardboard is thicker than the plastic ones, so don't slip down that well, WHY? there is nothing below that makes it necessary. I have given it four stars as I can always use other brands of filament that work, at the end of the day Filament is Filament, no matter what the manufactures tell you, yes some are better than others, but I would bet Creality don't MAKE their filament, some other company most probably do it for them.

3d printing excellence
Having previously read some negative reviews I was reluctant to purchase but I'm soo glad I did. I've had 3d printers for 7 years now and can honestly say with experience this is a great machine. Incredibly easy to set up and get started. Print quality is amazing coupled with incredible speed and accuracy. I would highly recommend to both experienced and novices alike.

A serious waste of time I regret purchasing
Complete waste of money, never worked since installed - all video tutorials followed and double checked by another person . As soon as you try and load any filament after changing color you get an TC2841 Cutter issue, cutter might be jammed, please try again after resolving. Checking the cutter involves litertally having to dismantling most of the hot end again. only to find no obstruction and still the error persists. Do not buy unless you literal enoy stripping striping down and tinkering trying to get to function instead of printing. Edit 01/07/2025 Do not expect any help from creality support they will simply run you around demanding videos of serial numbers and invoices and the device simply not functioning
