Alpicool C9PT 9L Portable DC Car Fridge Freezer, Mini Compressor Camping Refrigerator

So far so good. I have put it through its paces, and it managed to freeze water. I am not sure its that well insulated, and its a bit bubbly sounding but you get that with a compressor - for proper refrigeration there really isn't an alternative. but this box was one of the few B energy rated, dual input (12v/240v) versions. I was a bit worried by a couple of reviews, but it has a 3 year warranty, so feel comfortable now with the choice. It is small, but big enough for a few pints of milk/cans of drinks. Bought for possible prolonged power cuts; keep the main fridge shut and use this for milk/essentials to run off batteries.

Excellent 9L portable fridge. I ran this off a small power station for a two-day camping trip and was incredibly impressed by its efficiency. It only pulled roughly 35W while running and easily maintained a steady 2°C. The food stayed perfectly cold the entire time without putting a dent in my battery setup. Great performance for the size.

If I could give a lower score I would. The fridge arrived and it worked fine, I kept it boxed for 3 months till I was ready to install in a campervan. When installed it worked fine for 1 week then it would not power on. The DC supply to the unit is good as are the fuses. I contacted Aplicool 4 times and I still haven’t got a reply (over two weeks now) there website states they reply in 24 hours. What a lot of crap. I have contacted through link on Amazon, through link on their website (twice) and also directly by email. They dont even have the courtesy to answer my contacts, this is one of the most unprofessional companies I have dealt with, no post purchase support what so ever. Don’t buy a product from them they are unreliable and selfish, just want your money and to hell with the customer. I want my £100 back please Alpicool or at least a replacement.

Great little freezer with low power use

Used non stop for a month in the south of France on the beach. Fab little cool box. Could do with a light inside for sneaking a drink out of at night.

The first unit had a fault but the replacement has been superb. The power draw is remarkably modest and it coped very well during the recent heat waves.

Perfect for car camping - you can get 12 Coke/drink cans and a leyer of chocolate bars on top for Long Journey refreshments or basics for overnight camping BUT also is able to keep my Insulin cool plus chilled drinks to keep my system hydrated !! Runs well off my JACKERY POWER STATION E300D with Solar panels - HAS F3 code Pictured so returning!

I was very excited to get this product based on the reviews. The item arrived in perfect condition and I was surprised it was much bigger than expected.I was confused with the size and how heavy it is but once I plugged it in it worked perfectly, lowering the internal temperature to 5°C in less than 5 minutes. I've had it working for a few days and the temperature was always between 2°C and 6°C.I then left it unused in it's box for a week. Two days ago I plugged back in and although the temperature is flawless, the product makes a loud rattling noise every few minutes. It's unbearable, like a motorbike. If I put some pressure on the front of the product or if I pick it up the noise stops so clearly there's a flaw with the products because it's vibrating from within.
