I was pleasantly surprised to find some helpful graphics and a few photos in this book. Sometimes a visual is great to get across some ideas and how aspects relate to each other or how they intersect. I’m trying to eat healthier, and the economy doesn’t seem to be getting any better. The idea of doing this as a side hustle has some appeal. The section giving info on the distinct types of microgreens, their germination time & harvest time was extremely helpful. I didn’t realize there were so many varieties that were being sold. I think there were about 20+ in this chapter’s contents. I think anyone with a green thumb that was interested in making some money from something they already enjoy would find this book a great read.

I was surprised at the focus on commercializing microgreen growing for the small business. It was suggested there is another book by this author on actually growing and harvesting more specifically, and I'll go back and read that. With that said, I learned a ton from this book and the information will be used.

If you want to start a microgreens business this book does have a lot of information about a microgreens business and would be a great book to read.. It even gives several ways to market yourself, branding, etc... If you like to garden and grow things, this book may be your answer to added income.

I was more interested in how to grow the microgreens in my basement than anything else, but this book got me thinking that selling at a farmers market might be a good idea. This book does such a good job of explaining how to start up a microgreen business, or any business for that matter, that you feel you have all the knowledge to go that route if you want to.
