Great item!
This is extremely helpful for supporting the SI joints. The Velcro isn't the strongest, but it works well enough. It's lightweight and easy to fit to your size.

The Serola Belt has been a real Godsend for me!
I have suffered over 4 hrs with excruciating nerve pain, burning, and spasms (lower lumbar spine, just below ribs, pelvic & groin region, hips, and thighs front & back to knees) due to a kind of dysplasia with both left and right SI Joints which has largely restricted activity (bending, twisting, squatting, lounge standing & walking, sleeping--everything!) I have been through multiple regimes of drugs, injections, physical therapy, massage, heat, Theracane, TENS Unit, support pillows, adjustable mattress, compression products, etc etc. and am currently wrestling with my insurance to cover SI-Bone joint surgery. Though I was once very active, the condition kept me most of the time on my back, which affects my happiness and potentially could affect my overall health. While researching online in mid' November 2016, I found the Serola belt, which has since been a real Godsend for me (I wish it had been recommended to me earlier by my pain management specialist or physical therapist, since another physical therapist told me the belt is widely used and recommended by many). No, it does not eliminate ALL the pain, however it noticeably improves overall relief and keeps my pain to a lower level. I wear mine 24-7 and have had to train myself with it at night to life on back with pelvis straight and legs flat. The belt adds the necessary support when ordered in proper size by chart, and worn in the right place according to instructions online & in booklet found in packaging (bottom of belt should be where front Jean pockets begin). It took nearly a month to adjust to properly to wearing it (correct placement & tightness) and deriving it's benefits, partly because I did not 1st initially read all instructions enclosed in packaging, and largely due to the extreme Inflammation I had up to the purchase of the belt. Time and patience was needed to learn and to allow the inflammation to gradually go down as I faithfully kept the belt on. Since, I have been able to stand and walk for longer periods and reduce a lot of my meds. The belt is a darker color worn low, and it is comfortable, very sturdy, and has very strong velcro that will not come loose. The straps on both sides can be pulled and secured to just the right hold needed to restrict movement of the SI Joints, while not restricting me from normal overall physical movement. I have gone to pulling mine very snugly and only take it off for showering to use the bathroom. In bed, wearing the belt and using a firm half-round bolster under my knees has helped immensely. I was surprised to realize the amount of pain, discomfort and overall tension that had been accumulating as I had just normalized and coped with it--even while drastically curtailing or drastically reducing my day to day activity. The Solera belt has allows me to stand and work in kitchen longer, drive and sleep more comfortably, and walk for longer distances at the store. Because I have been able to lessen the drugs I take and sleep a little better, I feel sharper, happier, and more relaxed. The money is worth it and the belt, when introduced along with the other measures I was taking, has helped a lot. I would highly recommend it. One more note: upon visiting another physical therapist, I was met with professionals who were very familiar with the belt and have been using it for their patients for a long time. She was also happy to visually evaluate me to ensure belt placement was correct. I have told my doctor and massage therapists, as well as a few people I've met with same issues.

Amazing product at minimal cost.
This belt is faster than ibuprofen. Back pain vanished as soon as the belt went on. That's all that can be said. In addition, the belt also diagnosed my back pain as I also occasionally suffered from degenerative disc and kidney stones so when I put it on and the pain went away I knew it was the SI joint. Good luck.

Very good support
I bought this in Large. My hips, measured right above the grand trochanter (so that includes part of my butt) are 40". The size is good as it's very easy to adjust. I injured my sacrum and the surrounding region 3 years ago (kickboxing gone bad) and only recently did an osteopath find out the issue - my sacrum was out of wack. He popped it back into place, and realigned my hips (they do tend to move out of alignment, and for 3 years, that's all chiros have been able to see and correct, never correcting or even looking at my sacrum). Anyway, now my iliolumbar ligament is strained - 3 years of not healing, resulting in semi-permanent damage and scar tissue) and some muscles are also pulling the wrong way. It'll take some time and TLC before it all goes back to normal. I'm using this belt to help avoiding wrong movements (torsions) that still make my sacrum pop, and allo the ligament to heal, now that the bone isn't pulling on it the wrong way anymore. I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks now, from a couple of hours to the whole day, even at night, and I can tell it works. My back isn't as tender as it normally is after a day at work (I tend to sit all twisted, and/or sit on my legs), and I turning around at night doesn't hurt anymore. I have no pain to immediately alleviate, so I can't vouch for its efficiency on that, but it works for what I need it to do - protect my back while it's healing. The belt is also surprisingly comfortable. Wear it low, just above the great trochanter protuberance - yes that means it goes across of your butt. Lower than your pants belt line. It does not move (and I have a pretty generous behind so I was fully expecting it to). I try to wear it above my clothes, but I did have to wear it under my work pants a couple of times, no problems (a bit less comfy though. It's thin enough, even for women's dress pants. The back straps allow you to fine-tune how tight you want it, and you can even tighten it more on one side if it helps.

The one you want - don't fall for the junk!
I have been struggling with SI joint issues since the birth of our daughter, and spent months in PT years ago. I'd considered the issue fixed but, after returning from an international trip with 14 hours of flying, I was fine one moment unpacking and then in agony the next. Muscle creep from the flight caught up with me and I found myself unable to walk, stand, weight-bear, anything, and I have a small kid and a homestead - not good. Swim therapy helps and PT exercises go so far and when the pain got too much I did research and found SI belts!!! Now, I want the best, so I went to an *actual* medical supply company and sourced their brands and found the ONLY medical-grade one listed here on Amazon. The rest are half the price, sure, but they all look the same, same stock sexy models, same cheap foam materials. I went with this one and am SO glad I did. Pain relief started within 20 minutes, mobility and gate length increased shortly after. I was able to water plants and tidy the kitchen without pain! And then, this morning I woke without ANY pain for the first time in a week. (Not for wearing during sleeping, I didn't, but that's the difference it made!) It's easily adjustable, strong, fits well (though I'm at the lower end of the belt size, so I have a flap of material I just tuck under), and I can wear it nice and tight for hours. You get what you pay for, so don't gamble your well-being on a cheap product!!

Don’t keep in cart, buy now
I’ve bought other brands but nothing compares to this one. I’ve been suffering from back pain for 4 years, have a damage L5 S1, sciatica pain SI joint pain. My PT recommended this specific brand and I can’t say how great this is. It’s very supportive. Does not look tension. It’s very durable. Don’t let the price scare you. It stays in place as you move like others. Good quality.

It's OK
I've used SI belts for over 20 years, having destabilized my SI in an bicycle accident in the late 80's, though I'd gone without for a few years as my fitness level kept things reasonably stable and I was largely pain free. A recent change to a desk job and a different activity level led to increased instability and pain and I went back to PT for a fresh evaluation. My SI instability was as bad as the therapist had seen (a 10 (worst) on a 1-10 scale), but fortunately the joint aching and related leg pain and general discomfort could be largely alleviated by once again wearing an SI belt (and resuming regular strengthening exercises). From the PT clinic I purchased 'The SI Belt' by The Saunders Company The Saunders Group SI Belt , which was made with a couple of sticky liners on the inside of the belt to reduce slipping/riding up toward my waist (I'm one of those gals with an hour glass figure). This worked fine, but the stitching holding the hook and loop closure to the main part of the belt began to fray rather quickly, (kept hanging up in the metal loop where the belt pulled back over itself to fasten), so I investigated other belts that would hopefully not wear that way. I ordered the Serola belt as it was constructed differently, but was disappointed by the the tightening mechanism, the resulting bulk, and with the lack of inner sticky material, which meant the belt quickly ended up in a useless location at my waist. It might work fine for someone without the curves, but I returned it and purchased another Saunders belt and am being more careful about the stitching. I wear the belt all the time, despite the less than flattering effect on my figure. The aesthetic is not worth the discomfort! BTW - I have not found it necessary to use the Saunders stabilization pad accessory.

Great Product for SI Joint Pain
This is the only product that helped relieve my SI joint pain in pregnancy! It supported well, and the Velcro is sturdy. It is quite ugly, but I could wear it under dresses to be a bit more discreet

Wow lower back and hip pain greatly improved
I was a little sceptical that this belt would work but on someone else's advice I got it. I have rheumatoid and osteo arthritis, both knees have already been replaced and will need hips done too this belt enables me to work all day with 70% less pain. It takes a bit to get it in the right spot but once you do WOW

Best low back pain assistive device
This belt is an incredible invention! People with lower back pain should definitely give this a try before resorting to things like chiropractic care and taking all sorts of prescription medications. Make sure you watch videos to learn how to properly wear this and in the proper spots, if you do you will feel the difference. The second I put this thing on, my back pain was virtually gone and my entire posture and body feels so much better. I cannot say enough good things about this belt!
