adidas Duramo Slide Sandal

When I was little, my father and I would stroll through the fields in all the lands surrounding our manor, wishing a good harvest and fine tidings to the peasants who worked the soil. He never meant those words, of course. My father could be a cruel, capricious landlord. One winter, when the driving rains turned the soil to mush, and the mung-beans and wheat-stalks lay rotten in the waterlogged earth, the peasants cried out in starvation and cursed the gods for their ruin. My father would sing, and he would laugh, and he would prance about the fields in chicken-feathers and a beak, gleefully tearing up the wheat-stalks and tramping them into the dirt. "Cacaw!! Cacawww!!" he would shout, as in his animalistic frenzy, he would torment the villagers and consign their small children to certain demise. Afterwards we would dine on fine linens and gold-leafed plates. We would feast on fatted lamb and stuffed goat, and we would slurp a hearty stew, and we would drink our fill of exotic, spiced wines from the furthest corners of the world. Oh, how we wanted for nothing! And oh, how this wanton and careless display of opulence enraged the local peasantry! If you listened closely -- and my father did not -- you'd hear their talk turn to revolution, their words baited with venom, their intentions violent and resolute. I awoke one morning to find our castle engulfed in flames, my father screaming for his life and fleeing on horseback, abandoning me to whatever cruel fate the revolutionaries had in store for me. And so I grabbed what little I could, including these fine sandals by Adidas, and I ran out into the dusty roads, beating a hasty escape from the life I had known and all it entailed. I know not where the road ahead will take me. But I do know that I will walk that road in comfort and style, with these reasonably priced and durable Adidas Duramo Slide Sandals in Navy and White, Size 12M.

Very nice product and not just for the price....good product period. i used to own the 1968 classic Adidas slipper, which i liked but they ripped after a few years as it was made from 2 pieces glued/stamped together. this item is superior in a way that it is all one solid piece of plastic/resin (whatever the material is) it is also quiet comfortable...fits like a glove! The only thing you should be aware of is.... if you have high arches order one size larger. I knew this ahead of time since ive been down with adidas since forever also i would like to point out something i read in another buyer's review.... this is actually one of the reasons i purchased them... they are molded in such a nice form that whether you are putting them on with socks or without you feel no resistance and they just slide right on. ive only been wearing them for 4 minutes so far, but i know they will NOT rip like all other non adidas slippers i had before they call them sandals, i call them slippers. not sure if sandal is an appropriate term for these, but who cares! buy them, love them!

Unisex sizes - check the chart before ordering. I am a woman with a 7 1/2 shoe size, I ordered a 7 and I find them a little roomy wide. I had a pair in late high school and into college and I murdered them for years until the point the band on the top came off. They were thrown around, worn with socks and without, thrown in bags, closets, stuffed heel to band into each-other for space saving (which I think effected the band), showered and used at the pool and thoroughly abused. They felt great on my feet after hours of volleyball or softball tournaments. The sole is hard and smooth and has arch support - I have high arches. I you want a pair of slides that will last through the worst beatings these are the ones for you. They are great quality and I love that addidas didn't put their logo on them, I like the simple style of the lines. I have some trouble with my feet hurting so I personally wouldn't be able to wear these all day while standing or walking on my feet but I'm sure because of the solid hard sole on the bottom that it would be great support for others who don't share my sensitivity.

I am a woman with a slightly wider than average foot and usually wear regular width size 8.5. I tried a men's size 6 and a women's version size 9 before settling on a men's size 8. There was no size 7 available in this color, but I don't think that would have fit in the width anyway as even the 8 is a little tight. The strap is narrow, I suppose so the shoe doesn't fall off of narrow feet. They don't adjust so you are pretty much stuck with the width of the strap across your foot, although after breaking in it stretches a little. I would give it 5 stars if they came in a wide width- women's wide width would be perfect, in cute colors would be heavenly! After a day or two breaking in and molding to my foot (the arch support feels super weird at first and then you don't even notice it), they are very comfortable and overall I am pleased. They are not super cute since they are scaled for men but they do the job as a house shoe/shower shoe. Lots of cushion and one piece molded that can be easily cleaned. Better than the 2-piece 10 year old Nike slides that they are replacing.

These are the best sandals. My boys have been wearing them for at least 10yrs (the same pair). Wish they were still available.

I have a pair of Adidas Superstar slides that I bought about 7 years ago. I've used them every day since. Toughest and most comfortable slide/flip flop's I've ever had! They were starting to show some signs of excessive wear in some areas (although I'm still wearing them), so naturally, I was going to replace them with their latest counterparts. A definable no brainier! These don't have the memory foam soles like the old Superstars, but they're completely waterproof, which the old ones weren't. Still very comfortable though. Hope they turn out to be as durable as the 'ol Superstars. Love these slides!!
