Review: Plant Arrived Brown, but Greened in a Week by a Sunny Window - The plant arrived and a lot of it looked dead and was fairly dark brown in color. There were some green strands, but they were more olive colored. We put the best/greenest strand in with our snail tank on a table in front of a sunny window. We isolated The olive/brown parts of the plant in a bowl of conditioned water, also in front of the sunny window. These strands are all now bright green and growing very well. We did throw out the brownest part of the plant when it arrived, but there was plenty of other strands that the sun nursed back to health. I guess the plant even in it's brown condition could photosynthesize and get healthy. As other commenters said, there were snail egg sacs or very small snails with the plants when they arrived bc we have a snail type I don't recognize in our bowl now. That's fine by me, but something for others to be aware of. Last, I was worried abt the "needles" of this plant clogging our goldfish tank filter or breaking off and saturating the water. Neither of those has happened, even with the goldfish aggressively trying to munch on the plant. (Got this plant bc the goldfish don't eat it, even tho they try to take a bit of it regularly). Review: INFESTED WITH LEECHES AND PARASITES - I waited a few months before posting a review. I ordered this onOctober 30 2018.it is now the end of December 2018, and everything in my aquarium is dead. Dont get me wrong. The plants are doing amazing. Very green, bushy abd full of life. So are the leeches and parasites that came with them. They really enjoyed killing all of my fish, including the algea eater. They are clearly white leeches and I'm not sure what kind of insect it is but its creepy looking. My shrimp, fish, algea eater and just about all of my snails are all dead. I had a thriving tank for over a year. I decided to add this plant for the young shrimp to hide in and give the snails something else to lay eggs on. I let this float on the surface. I didnt anchor it down. I felt I had enough ground plants in my aquarium. But now, although my plants still look good, I am reaserching trying to find a way to destroy the parasites without destroying the plants because lets face it, THE TANK IS CLEARLY INFESTED. They are visible to the naked eye and a bunch of them. Heed my warning! Do not buy this unless you want your tank destroyed.

High quality, beautiful, fast-growing, durable, pest-free plants!
These are the most amazing aquatic plants I have ever kept! In the mail, I received a small box, and when opened, it reveals a properly sealed plastic package full of hornwort. After floating the bag in my 10-gallon aquarium for about 20 minutes, I planted each stem into the gravel. Hornwort is a background plant, so be sure to plant it at the very back of your tank. These plants are very tall, so after planting, I had to trim them. I could then plant the trimmings elsewhere in the tank to help fill in the background. An important tip: Never throw away your cuttings! Most, if not all, are viable and can grow back to a full-sized plant in a short period of time. Hornwort is a gift that keeps on giving. In the pictures I provided of my main 10-gallon aquarium, you can see the growth of the hornwort. Each picture is only about a week apart. It grows amazingly well and is very easy to move around and replant. Right out of the bag, these plants are a wonderful shade of green. They really help balance the earthy-toned substrate and the natural colors on the decorations, which you can see in my pictures. It also helps distract from the enormous HOB filter and heater in the back, which is definitely a plus, lol. The hornwort keeps my water quality pristine and helps bring oxygen into the water for my fish. They don't require CO2 or strong light, which are great for a low-budget LED aquarium. My betta and tetras love to hide in it, and my albino corydora rests her body on the smaller hornwort plants to sleep, like a little aquatic pillow. :) The seller is providing incredibly hardy, beautiful, and healthy hornwort plants. Once acclimated, and then planted into the aquarium substrate, they look vibrant and will last you a long time, given your water parameters are within a good range. You can really flesh out your tank by replanting the cuttings to fill it in, and it helps promote the overall health of your aquarium. Not once have I ever had this plant melt away, burn, rot, mold over, grow fungus, carry pests, or give off a foul smell. What a great buy. Best ~$10 I have ever spent on my fish. Will definitely be buying again in the future. Thanks! :D

Fast growth, but comes with pests.
First purchase of this type of aquarium plant. Shipping and delivery was great, but when my plant arrived I soaked in water just as a precautionary step and glad I did. My plant had snails and various "critters" swimming about in the water. After 5-10 dunks and soaking, I left my plant in a quarantine tank for 2 days before planting in my 13 and 29 gallon tanks. This helped to remove snail and other pests from the plant prior to adding. Main reason for 4 stars was from the pests included in shipping but overall great plant and after only 2 weeks or so in each tank, my plants are thriving, already seeing new growth and my fish love the added sanctuaries.

Not so great condition but looking much better with time
I usually don't give low ratings, but the hornwort came in a sandwich bag with very little moister and brown. I soaked it just in case there were snails, snail eggs and other debris and a lot of the pine looking leaves fell off, I still decided to add it to my aquarium and added some fertilizer. I am hoping that these will revive some how, it's only been a few days so we will see. UPDATE: I have to make an update on my review, I am not very experienced with aquarium plants and I might have jumped the gun with my review . I have to say that my hornwort has grown at least double if not more. The weather is quite chilly and maybe the reason the plants were not looking so great when I first received them. But I am very pleased with the growth, I have cut them and added some to another tank and it continues to grow in both tanks, they look really good and healthy.

My Pond Looks Like a Mini Jungle Paradise!
I ordered these aquatic plants on a whim, and wow — my little backyard pond has never looked better! 🌿🐸 Within days of planting, they perked up and started spreading their roots like they owned the place (in the best way possible). The water is clearer, my fish seem happier, and I swear even the frogs are having a party every night. Everything arrived healthy, green, and well-packaged — no mushy leaves or mystery pond goo (you know what I mean). I love the mix of textures and colors, and they instantly gave my pond that “natural oasis” vibe. If you’re on the fence — do it! You’ll be out there admiring your pond every morning like some kind of proud aquatic gardener.

Good plant & company
The plant came in a small brown box sealed in a plastic bag. More than half of the plant came brown and completely coming apart I rinsed in a bowl of prime water several times then soaked over night. I’m hoping that it will hold up so I’ll update in a few days. I set up a new tank for it for now because i didn’t want it to come apart like it is in my large tank. UPDATE The new one arrived yesterday. It looks allot better than the last hopefully it perks up a little but I am happy with it. It did come with mosquito larvae and a leach though lol just make sure you wash it well before it goes in your tank. Last photo is the new one. Another update a week later parts of the plant have grown so much and look absolutely beautiful!! Last photo ;-)

Heads up for snail hobbyists
Plants received were healthy and vibrant. After a few days, a new creature spawned with my ramshorn snails after I planted these two plants in my aquarium. I brought it to the seller’s attention, they told me it was harmless. However, I did more research, this is actually worst case scenario for snail hobbyists. This video and photo is evidence of a snail leech; I’ve lost 2 snails so far. I boiled my decorations, and driftwood. Went ocd in the substrate with syphoning and quarantined my ramshorn snails. I brought my discovery to seller’s attention, so they can also cure their tank as well. As you can see in the video the creature has a screwdriver type body, its head is thin. It moves by inching its body. When I was gently evacuating my pets, I found one snail leech penetrated through its shell and had joined by its head. I did not have time to take photo of this, as this was a speedy rescue to look through all 40 of ramshorn snails. The plants I bought from you were beautiful, so I’ll give you 2 stars. I can’t give you a full five for the corruption of my tank.
