This mini pancake maker is so easy to use! It cooks 8 pancakes at once, which is way more than my old method with a frying pan where I could only make two or three at a time. This mini pancake maker is genius. I've been paying a lot for premade pancakes for myself and my grandkids. Somehow when a food is minimized, it must taste better. Quick work of making multiples using ready to use pancake mix like Bisquick. Buttered up the pan first even though the surface is supposed to be non-stick. Snapped the lid down to hold in the batter. Stops steaming when done (just like a waffle iron) and presto! Eight mini pancakes hot off the griddle. The package came in a box with a standard waffle iron image but the correct product was inside. Upon research, this type of iron is used for making Columbian or Venezuelan "Arepas", little cornmeal cakes. You can use Masarepa, a precooked corn flour found in the Latin food section of your grocery store. NOT JUST FOR BREAKFAST
