How large is a large??

We bought two; my large stretch one was worn by my wife because it clings to curves and I wore her medium one, which fitted fine but was a little shorter than the fitted one.

How long is the XL and L?

These string vests were gifts for a tall, slim friend some years ago, so I don't remember the measurements - sorry. She was pleased with them though!
