I accidently grabbed a DVD and inserted it and the CD player recognized that it wasn't the right type of disc, which means it's smarter than me haha. Once I put my CD in and pressed play I knew it was a quality product. I love this little CD player/radio. The volume is very good, also I like that it has an external speaker so you don't have to use headphones if you don't want to. I like all the different ports so you have versatility in using/charging it. One thing I would change or add to this product is some rubber feet on the under side so it doesn't slide around on different surfaces while you're using it. Other than that it's great because it works perfectly for its intended purpose. I haven't tried to hook up to it via Bluetooth yet but if that works as good as all the other functions I'm sure I'll be pleased with that too. Speakers are pretty decent and bass is clear on them.
