I bought two more of these corkscrews, and one has suffered the same failure that a lot of other examples appear to have had - the corkscrew element became detached in normal use. Given the percentage of them that appear to be affected, I can no longer recommend buying this item. If you're lucky to get one that doesn't fall apart, then it's a great buy, but as about a third of them go wrong and there are many alternatives that work pretty much as well and are more durable, I've revised my 4 star rating down to 1 star.There are two things wrong with it:1. The foil cutter isn't very good - a serrated blade would make it easier to use.2. The plastic cladding makes it look bulky and less aesthetically pleasing than many other waiter's friends.
