A definite favorite…. FOR MYSELF! Not just for my children.Mom of 8, and gosh, I sincerely found myself so moved by this book that I bought this book as a gift for friends.Hearty message. Solid history. Beautiful artwork! Direct and clear messages! Longer than you would expect!!While it follows a teensy bit of a moment in St Rafael’s life, it surely a retreat, full of reflection for every reader. My children age 2 to teen all have greatly benefited in their own faith, reflection, and walk with Jesus from this story.I especially love that it touches on the devil as the voice of discouragement, etc. The imagery of the little devils is perfect! Not frightening whatsoever.Our Catholic children’s book budget is rather small, so I’m awfully fickle on the best books to buy with the growing options we have. This is a must have! There is value for everyone with this read. Along with Saints Around the World!

All of my kids enjoy this book! I love it, too. It's beautifully illustrated, and the story is wonderful. Love the message!

This book is lovely to view and to hold.The cover is soft and the pages are sturdy. The drawings are lovely and add to the message of the book. I think it important for us to understand how temptation works, and how we can successfully fight it. Always love, always Jesus.I will buy more copies to give as gifts.

This inspiring book has a wonderful message which is so perfectly paired with marvelous illustrations. No doubt that families will want to read this treasure of a book again-and-again. Congratulations to Magnificat/Ignatius for adding such a magnificent project to their already wonderful collection of books they publish.
