Review: Easy Read to Mental Freedom! - Easy read, don't hesitate to buy to gain or regain peace in your life, in order to open the path you want for your life. Like the author Joseph Nguyen said in the book, the concept of not thinking is simple, but not easy to do as humans. He says, thoughts create, thinking destroys. So true! I also appreciate the summary at the end and a guide with steps to non-thinking. I believe this book found me. It was only a week after a breakup. I didn't hesitate to buy the book because I knew I was about to go on a journey of questioning everything that went wrong. I am so glad I followed my intuition. Not to say the breakup wasn't painful, but I managed it different and didn't get too far down in sadness and perpetual toxic thinking, how it can be after a breakup. And this was a 2nd chance after being apart over a decade. So I thought this was the one for me, finally. If nothing else, the author's explanation made me realize just how much our negative thoughts take you down a rabbit hole of pain, blame, shame, and just unnecessary suffering. When you consciously realize it, you know it makes no sense and you truly can end it. However, most of us just keep feeding the negative thoughts. Easier said than done, but truly a simple concept we each have control over and should not allow our minds/thoughts to control us. With that said, I think this book is a natural transition to meditation too, because if you can turn off negative or aimless thinking, you open your mind to endless positivity and clarity your mind can take you. I noticed this about myself...so it validated what was already happening with me. My mind is most clear in the shower, and I would have so many ideas or clarifying thoughts come to me at that time. And to have more of that, outside of the shower, I must catch and end the over-thinking and negative thinking. Towards the end of this book, I just broke down in tears, because the way Joseph described how we must have faith in the unknown, take a leap of faith and be courageous to get what we want--that spoke volumes to me, because it was my thoughts that robbed me of my faith and courage and why I feel I'm not where I'm supposed to be in life. But shifting my thoughts will make space for the possibilities and what I want in my life. So yes, like he said in the beginning, I am different after reading the book. Different in a positive way, trusting the universe and my non-thinking. Thank you, Joseph Nguyen! Review: Life-changing!! - Wow, this book is really life-changing and I canโt wait to read the other books. I understand now that itโs no coincidence that I bought this book 2 years ago and finally read it exactly at the time I needed the information. I feel free and peaceful and love in my heart. After reading this book it is chilling how the author breaks down everything in such a simple manner that I completely grasp the idea I had to go back two years to find my order in order to leave a review thatโs how phenomenal this book was. Itโs such an easy read. Everything makes sense and am now practicing not thinking and it works like a charm. This book is a miracle in itself. Iโm so excited. I am going to order some for my friends and my fiancรฉ. This is a gift that will keep on giving peace of mind, happiness and love to the people I love and want to share the information with definitely interested in reading the other books that came out after this book!!!! if I ever forget the information I learned from this book, I will definitely reread over and over again until I have mastered not thinking.

The title tells you everything!
The title tells you everything! โI swear to you that to think too much is a disease, a real, actual disease.โ Dostoevsky A simple and easy to read book, yet vital in the central idea it delivers, I encourage you to read it, why? We are inclined to overthink, dwelling on our lives and daily events, planning, etc. is healthy in moderation. We need to plan, manage our expenses, evaluate our life, planning our future on many levels, plan for our family, we need to evaluate our performance at work, our career, etc.., however; it is extremely easy to cross the thin line between healthy planning and overthinking. Thinking leads to overthinking, which in turn leads to losing focus on what really matters, our happiness, enjoying what we have, the present moment! The books in its simplicity and flowing writing style open the readers eyes onto the priceless comparison between healthy Thought and unhealthy Thinking. This is the central idea of the book. Thought is healthy for it is โneutral observationsโ it is a noun it is something we have. While Thinking is โjudgments we have about our thoughtsโ it is a verb, it is action, action that leads to anxiety, stress, and suffering (when you read you will understand more). The author style makes it easy to absorb the ideas from his life experience firsthand on the โdiseaseโ of overthinking. He provides a nice simple guide at the end of the book.

It was very compelling
"Don't Believe Everything You Think" by Joseph Nguyen A clear, concise primer on mindfulness and mental freedom. Its short chapters make profound concepts highly accessible, perfect for beginners seeking relief from negative thought patterns. However, it stays at an introductory level, offering little new for readers already versed in this philosophy. A quick, impactful read for a specific audience.

A good read for anyone wanting a new perspective
It's a short book with helpful insights to rid yourself of unhelpful anxieties and thoughts. I found it to be a blend of the valid concepts from various philosophies and pretty universally helpful.

A Simple Book That Hit Me Deeply
A Simple Book That Hit Me Deeply I picked up Don't Believe Everything You Think not knowing quite what to expect, and it ended up being one of the most impactful reads I've had in a long time. Joseph Nguyen has a gift for taking a profound idea โ that our thinking itself is the source of our suffering โ and making it feel completely accessible and real. What struck me most is that this isn't another book telling you to "think positive" or rewire your habits. Nguyen goes deeper than that. He invites you to question the nature of thought itself, and once that clicks, it genuinely shifts something. The chapters are short and easy to digest, but don't let that fool you โ the ideas are anything but shallow. I found myself pausing throughout to just sit with what he was saying. That doesn't happen often. If you're someone who struggles with overthinking, anxiety, or getting in your own way, this book will speak directly to you. Highly recommend.

An eye opening experience
My names Mike this is my wifeโs Amazon that we share but anyways, I was recently diagnosed with PTSD from certain events in my childhood. Since being diognosed that answer hasnโt sat well with me. It brought up a sadness and emptiness Iโve never felt before. So I seeked help within myself and started looking for answers and ways out and couldnโt figure it out. Then I read this book and realized it really is as simple as just letting go and not chasing every thought that goes through my head. And this books not a miracle that will instantly heal you or me, but the second I started applying this book to my life I felt hope, peace, and something bright within me. God bless everyone and I hope you find the answers in life youโre looking for. You matter and reading this book will help you realize that.

This book contains some genuinely useful insights about overthinking, rumination, self-judgment, and the destructive mental spirals people can create around situations in life. The author does a good job illustrating how people often turn neutral events into negative identity stories and emotional suffering. However, I think the bookโs wording and philosophy can sometimes be misleading or overly broad. The author uses the word โthinkingโ to describe destructive rumination and self-defeating mental spirals, but the terminology can make it sound as if deep thinking itself is the problem. I disagree with that idea. Thoughtful reflection, discernment, moral reasoning, creativity, and even uncomfortable thoughts can all be valuable and necessary parts of life. The problem is not thinking itself, but becoming trapped in compulsive, negative loops that serve no purpose. I think the book would have been stronger if it focused more specifically on destructive rumination rather than framing โthinkingโ broadly as the source of suffering. Overall, I found the book thought-provoking and useful in parts, but philosophically oversimplified at times.

Change your thinking and youโll experience peace, love and joy.
This book is really good. It helps you to understand how your thinking works, gives you insight into nothing is wrong with you, is just thinking is the root cause of all our suffering. Thanks Joseph Nguyen.

Short and powerful book
I found this book really helpful - After having several anxiety free years something changed recently and I started being impacted by health anxieties. The guidance that this book provided has helped me immeasurably. I am able to separate myself from my thoughts and reframe episodes as passing clouds when they arise. I will revisit this book when required and would recommend it to everyone.

Best book I've read in a long time
I have read my self help and spiritual books but this book has definitely been one of the best books I have read. I haven't put it down. So much wisdom that seems simple but I am sure the majority of people don't do including myself. I highly recommend this book if you are looking for transformation. I'm already feel physically and mentally lighter just reading and applying what I learned over the last three days. I can't wait to see what's I'm store for myself with this new knowledge Amazing book and I don't think anyone would ever regret reading this book.

A must read
A very interesting book. It leaves you thinking the true cause of mental suffering that is actually ' thinking '. One needs to read it repeatedly to keep the encouragement and remind oneself to be mindful of the overthinking we all do.
