This is an album that you really need to put on a good set of headphones and really listen.the themes are universal and the lyrics are honest.heartfelt and beautiful..Beautiful and Wild inspired by the birth of Kris's son,is about the inevitable loss of inocence.In Time rreminds us that painful incidents in our lives will not heal immediately but eventually we will heal and be stronger for it.Every song tells a story,whether it be about the joy of falling in love or the regret of throwing it away.This album was beautifully produced by Charlie Peacock,with Kris's beautiful.emotive voice up front and center..It has a lot of variety and lovely melodies.It will touch your hearstringst and have you dancing yet it is a very cohesive work.Kris is a very talented artist with incredible phrasing and with this album,he has fullfilled his potential.I felt that he was singing directly to me,which is a rare gift.

I'm a huge American Idol fan - haven't missed a single episode. I was "Team Adam" all the way the year Kris won the title. I gotta admit, Kris has improved markedly. His voice is really, really nice and there's not one bad song in this collection. I keep playing the entire CD over and over again, which is rare nowadays. More people need to discover this CD - I love it!

Highly recommend! Kris Allen's voice is spectacular and the production on this album really focuses on it-- making his warm, smokey tone front and center in each track. Standouts include Lost (a bluesy, piano-driven ballad with impressive lyrical wordplay), Prove it to You (a sweet/intimate duet), It's Always You (another beautiful ballad), Girl Across the Room (upbeat tune with an amazing low note!!), and Young Love (great, feel-good track). You won't be disappointed!
