## Description

This kit contains everything you need to treat your fine leather goods: (1) 8 ounce Lexol Cleaner, (1) 8 ounce Lexol Conditioner, and a 2-pack Lexol Applicator Sponge.

Review: A high quality, easily used, reasonably priced product - . I got notice that the price, already quite reasonable, fell so I decided to give this Lexol kit a go. This is my first experience with a high quality leather cleaner and conditioner, and the seats in The Bride's '07 Tucson and my '12 Santa Fe needed cleaning so I thought "Why not? The seats in both cars are tan and could use some attention." The kit contains bottles of cleaner and conditioner, a rectangular pad (I used it for cleaning) and a round pad with a pocket for fingers (I used it for conditioning.) First my six-year-old Santa Fe, which has been off the used car lot about fifteen months and wasn't really dirty yet. The cleaner didn't make a lot of difference because the car was prepped well when I bought it, but I did notice a slight dinginess removed after cleaning. The cleaner did remove some dirt from the steering wheel and the door pull handle, both surfaces often touched by a hand. The conditioner made them a little more supple and a little less grabby - not slick but there is noticeably less friction when getting in and out of the car. The feel of the steering wheel is better. Then The Bride's ten-year-old Tucson, which we bought new. The seats had never been cleaned aside from an occasional wipe down with a damp rag. There was some wear around the edges of the seats where the hard plastic side trim rubbed the leather seat cushions and some noticeable damage on the driver's seat back at the bottom outboard area of the bolster where the seat belt has rubbed since late 2007 - the surface finish has cracked and exposed the raw leather underneath. The cleaner removed a lot of dinginess that was so uniform we didn't notice it, but it's gone now. It also removed most of the wear marks around the borders of the cushions but I didn't want to get too happy with it and do further damage with too much rubbing. The conditioner, as in the Santa Fe, improved the feel of the seats and the steering wheel and softened the leather at the wear point on the driver's seat back. When I was finished I noticed the pad used for cleaning wasn't extremely dirty but the pad used for conditioning certainly was. I concluded that I should first have wiped down the seats in both cars with a damp rag to remove dust - I didn't clean the back seats because they're rarely used - so the conditioning pad got dirty from dust. I left the windows open about an inch overnight in case some outgassing from the conditioner might leave a gunky film on the window glass, but I don't see any. There is no perfume I can smell in the conditioner, but there is a smell like lanolin. Also, point to make: The products are water based. Make sure the pads are damp when starting the project, keep them damp, and work the cleaner and conditioner into the pads before starting so they are slightly soaked. This helps work up a lather when using the cleaning pad. Overall, a good first experience with a high quality, easily used, reasonably priced product. .
Review: No oily residue left on leather if you follow the directions! - I finally had a chance to use my new leather care products. I will use Lexol to clean and condition my leather speed bags and for the leather furniture in my house. So far I have used it to clean and condition a speed bag. I bought a vintage speed bag that is about 15 to 20 years old. It is in excellent condition for it's age but needed some TLC to get it perfect. Older leather on a speed bag if not stored properly over the years can dry out and crack, and with something like this once it cracks it ruins the bag as pieces begin to come off. Also most people over the years do not clean the leather on their speed bag and the dirt and grime also lead to premature wearing of the leather. The speed bag in question had nice, light kidskin leather. It had no cracking and no visible dirt. I followed the directions and first cleaned the speed bag and then conditioned it. I did notice that the the cleaning rag did get dirty showing that even though there was no visible dirt, there was still dirt on the bag. The results were very good! The bag itself was a little more shiny after the cleaning and conditioning, and the leather feels a bit softer. Best of all there is no oily residue feeling on the bag! If it remained oily after the treatment, that would tend to attract dust, and this product does not leave that. I will add more once I use this product on my leather couches. So far I am happy with this product.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If used on boots/jackets, will it make it water resistant?**
A: This is a cleaner and conditioner for leather..

**Q: Can I use it on white leather car interior,my 4 y old drew on it with marker.**
A: My car has saddle colored leather, and I have used the cleaner and conditioner with great success on it and other similar or darker leather items around the house. The cleaner is amazing in the amount of dirt that it will remove. It's worth a try, cautiously!

**Q: Can I use this to clean my purse ?**
A: I found that as long as the leather isn't "super soft" like kid-skin, this product works wonderfully! I tried it on a pair of soft leather gloves and it stained the leather (darkened). I've used it on all kinds of items such as shoes, coat, purses and it works great.

**Q: Will this help a thick leather jacket from squeaking and breaking it?**
A: Yes

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good starter kit.
*by L***G on May 8, 2014*

There are numerous spray leather cleaner and conditioner out there and I was curious to see how different they are. Here are my findings: 1. I tried 5 spray leather cleaner and conditioner are priced between $7-9 for a 16 FL ounce bottle and this kit. 2. For about $10 (that's when I got it) you get a a bottle of 8 FL OZ cleaner and a bottle of 8 FL OZ conditioner and two applicator sponges. With all that you really are set to take care of your leather stuff. 3. The cleaner has no weird smell, which is good. The only thing that I was not too fond of was that it's very runny/watery, thus it's easy to spill out a lot. It does its job of cleaning basic grime from every day use, but it does not remove heavier stains or jean's dye (at least it didn't on my handbag I tried on). 4. The conditioner has a neutral scent (no added scent), which I prefer. It's a very light lotion, not as watery as the cleaner though. It's a good basic conditioner and after using a cleaner, you definitely must use a conditioner to protect your leather stuff. That's why it comes in a set. However, I do find it a bit of a hassle to use 2 products and having to do 2 steps. I'm a busy working mom and prefer to use a leather cleaner and conditioner in ONE, such as the WhooHoo-Clean Leather Conditioner and Cleaner in One. Luxurious Leather Lotion for Your Designer and Fine Leather Goods. Protect Your Leather Investment. 15 FL OZ. Made in USA! . Great for maintenance work, one step, saves time. 5. When I compare the spray leather cleaner and conditioner to a leather lotion, I have to say that the leather lotion feels more luxurious and the leather is more hydrated and softer. 6. For smaller and more expensive leather goods, I prefer to use the WhooHoo-Clean leather care. If I pay several hundred or thousands of dollars for a leather item, I want to keep it new looking for a long time! In my opinion, any real leather can and will benefit from a good leather care product (with high customer reviews!). Think about it, leather is like skin, it will get dry with time and particularly usage. Just pick one that fits your budget and use it regularly!
