Thrilling and stunning
What a beautiful book Charlotte McConaghy has written. I will recommend this to friends and family forever. How she managed to combine a thriller with a literary fiction is astounding, I was honestly on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The setting, the characters, the wildness and emotions of this book are truly one of a kind. I was swept away on this thrilling, heartbreaking journey and I will never recover from it. I’ve also been sent into a deep rabbit hole researching all things to do with seed vaults and conservation. A fantastic book that everyone should read

She's earned all the hype about this book!
Wonderful! The imagery is sharply vivid without sinking into flowery language. It's a page turner without being a typical one. The characters are deeply unique and half way through the book I still don't see a clear protagonist, which is a nice change. I've already ordered another of McConaghy's books.

Loved it, like all her other novels before
Great book by a great author. I read all the previous books from Charlotte McConaghy and I liked them all equally. Who knowa the other novels, won't be disappointed with this one. Dark outlook to a world and nature that might come and affect all of us and our lives. Pretty realistic in my opinion, so if you like feel good books, you better skip it.

Skip this and save yourself the wasted time
A good story turned into a sappy mellow-drama. Very disappointing.
