Both sides are very sticky and will adhere very well to any service that is smooth, dry, clean. But on the flip side difficult to remove and should you use them on a painted surface then there would be a good chance of the paint being pulled off with the pad, soaking it with alcohol will defiantly remove it but may well also damage the surface. In other words, only use in a permanent position or on an unpainted surface. They are type of foam, quite tough. 3mm thick when 'peeled'. The adhesives protective covers are easy to peel off, which can be a real pain on other products. I bought them as an 'ow, they may be useful' ............and I'm sure they will be............soon. Review: Tough sticking - Was really happy with these. Had been using some spare ones i had but they would hold my Corsair controller to the bottom of my desk. One of these pads holds it no problem. You can still feel how tough they are when removing though removing is quite simple and none of the pad was left on the wall when i removed it. Round pads will come in handy too.
