„Fuchskinder“ setzt die Graphic-Novel-Reihe rund um den Hexer Geralt atmosphärisch dicht und mitreißend fort. Die Geschichte ist düsterer als im ersten Band, was sehr gut zur Welt von The Witcher passt. Der moralische Zwiespalt, in den Geralt gerät, wird glaubwürdig und mit Tiefe dargestellt. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass diesmal das Thema Ausgrenzung und Anderssein stärker in den Vordergrund rückt – typisch Witcher, denn nichts ist je ganz schwarz oder weiß. Die Zeichnungen sind wie schon im ersten Band stimmungsvoll und detailliert, wobei die Farben die düstere Märchenatmosphäre perfekt unterstreichen. Manche Panels wirken fast wie kleine Gemälde. Ein kleiner Abzug gibt es lediglich für den etwas holprigen Einstieg – ohne Vorwissen könnte man sich anfangs etwas verloren fühlen. Insgesamt ein packender Band mit Tiefgang, der nicht nur Fans der Spiele oder der Bücher anspricht. Wer dunkle Fantasy mit moralischer Grauzone mag, sollte „Fuchskinder“ auf jeden Fall lesen.
