Got this for my granddaughter who is now 6 months old. She loves it. She is safe in it too. The foot rest would be helpful when they are really little.

For younger babies
My baby was fine in it when she was 3 months to about 8 months, but as she got bigger she was uncomfortable and didn’t like being in all the straps. As a mom with high anxiety the belts and buckles on this float made me feel more at ease than a cheap inflatable floaty. Definite expect your baby to outgrow it sooner than the 24 months it says it accommodates lol
