These turned out to be great, and I'll use them for company too! The bowls are heavy, great solid ceramic. They are wider than they are deep, which is great for serving. The heavy ceramic is good in the oven -- I put them on "warm" in the oven, and they hold the heat well to help food from getting cold once on the table.Dishwasher, hand wash, whatever. They get knocked around a bit, and no chips yet! My husband even commented, "hey, get a few more of those bowls." Good value for the price, arrived on time, good packaging, good color.
