Uncanny X-Men 1: Revolution

I'm new to the X-Men Comics, and this really brought me in!
What really stood out to me about this issue was the great characterizations and dialogue. The story itself moved at a bit of a slow pace, but the depth of the characters and the conflicts they faced with one another really got the story going! This story introduces to the X-Men en medias res -- in the middle of the action -- but still manages to work as a jumping off point! Don't get me wrong, I'm curious about what has been happening in Schism and Avengers versus X-Men and will certainly read them whenever I get the chance (and the funds, haha), but I didn't need to have read them to understand what was going on here. We are confronted with a Cyclops that is complex, nuanced, and morally grey for the first time in the X-Man canon, and the character Magik is pretty exceptional as well. The dialogue is snappy and thoughtful, making this book a truly immersive read! This was worth the money, and I'm excited to read the next volume. Well done, Bendis!

Intersting turn of events
As a fan of the X-Men this book gets them back to their roots of being outlaws that no matter what they do they will be perceived as such. The fact that they chose Cyclops to lead this rogue team is interesting. He has always been the straight & narrow kind of character while Wolverine has been the hot head. I like this new Cyclops & I'm glad to see that the relationship with Frost is over with. Which makes her very vulnerable, something we do not see that often. Of course my favorite character Magik is there kicking butt so that makes it a big plus. The only complaint I do have is the art work, not a big fan of the artist but other than that its a good graphic. The new characters look like they can some potential as well.

Truly the Uncacnniest of X-Men
Cyclops, Magento, and Emma Frost like we have never seen them before.Revolution!Cyclops has long been the leader of the X-Men and now, after the events of AvX and the death of Charles Xavier by his own, Phoenix possessed, hand, he has come to see the world in a new light. Prejudice against mutant kind is once more rampant with the arrival of the first of the new mutants. Cyclops, no longer believing in the approach to the problem he learned from Charles Xavier, is recruiting for his new mutants revolution, while he and his generals struggle to maintain their fluctuating powers.A post Phoenix possessed Cyclops, a de-powered Emma Frost, and Magneto as a double agent make this run the ultimate must read for fans of the X-Men. Along with some new mutants like Tempus, who can stop time, and Triage the new mutant healer, the new Xavier Institute looks to be shaping up nicely.

GET THE LARGE VERSION!!!
I recommend you get the other volume 1 that collects #1-11 and #14-18.There is one that is smaller and shorter hardcover, but the other is an oversized hardcover edition that you can fully appreciate the art.Check out the pics. The story, read in tandem with All-new x men is smashing. I loved what Bendis does with the teams at this point and the different point of views during the same events if you read both series in tandem. It's really cool.Unfortunately, it later succumbs to event fatigue... friggen Marvel. If they could only get out of their own way.

Good Buy
This was a good read and an they did a good job intersecting this book with the "All New X-Men". I am starting to enjoy Illyana's character more as the story goes on as she was never really my favorite. I really like Cyclops' new costume as well.

Not Bad, But Not Great
I'm more of a fan of 90's Jim Lee and Chris Claremont. This picks up where the events of X-Men v. Avengers ends. I think theres some good stuff her, but Bendis makes the X-men a little too much like the Avengers for my taste. It's not a bad series, but the X-Men plot is just too diluted to follow.

Great start!
Such a great start of this volume ! No wonders, the talented writer bendis is involved in this! You should definitely read all new X-Men since the two series meet from times to times and each series show a different interaction of those meeting

"I'm worried that our teachers have more problems than we do" fürchtet Eva Bell aka Tempus ganz zu Recht, als sie gemeinsam mit anderen Jungmutanten von Cyclops gerettet wird. New Xavier School for the Gifted.

I got myself more of that...
Good story and artwork - solid work. Not worth a 5 star rating but a good read.I'd give 4 stars for a big part of the book, but not overall.Expect 3 star entertainment and be positively surprised.
