No Chemicals
Great product. I use this instead of dog worming product that do so much harm to our furbabies. Also keeps ants at bay without having to use chemicals.

I originally started taking D.E. as a parasite cleanse. I've been taking it since October 2016 & decided to just stay on it since it had other wonderful health benefits. I've also been plagued with UTI infections much of my adult life. They would always happen if I drank too much coffee, so I stopped drinking anything but water & organic green tea. The UTIs improved, but I'd still get them, just not as frequently. Let me just say that since I've been on D.E., I've not had a single UTI & I'm able to drink coffee again! I drink about 3-4 cups of coffee a day typically, with no issues. I've also noticed less aches & pains in my joints & my skin has improved as well. Not sure why some people have experienced G.I. distress, but after some research, my understanding is D.E. is also great at removing toxins from your body. If you have a lot of toxins & you start taking too much D.E. too quickly, you could experience moderate to severe G.I. symptoms. Also, if you have parasites, (you may not know it, but most of us have them), the die off of the parasites can also cause you to feel sick. It's important to only start with 1 tsp a day for a few days to see how your body reacts. If you're good, then increase to 1 tsp twice a day. Gradually increase the amount, adjusting as you go depending on if you develop any undesirable symptoms. It's very important to drink PLENTY of water throughout the day while you're taking D.E. If you don't drink enough water, you will experience dry mouth, dry eyes & constipation. For me personally, 3 scoops twice a day, (equal to 1 Tablespoon twice daily), was a little too much for me. Only 2 scoops, (2 tsp), twice daily was the perfect amount...It did it's job, got rid of my parasites & didn't make me dehydrated or cause any other adverse symptoms. I usually put mine in grapefruit juice & there's much less chalky taste verses just putting it in water. I can't wait to see what my cholesterol numbers are the next time I go to the doctor as I've read it helps lower cholesterol & triglycerides and even blood pressure. So far, I'm thrilled with the results!

Put it around the home to reduce insect getting in the home and also great to get rid of ant nests.

Seems to have worked , for what I wanted it for. Has many uses, look it up. Fine powder, bit of a gritty texture like sand...and a bit of a taste ...that I can't describe, though not unpleasant. Fairly large bag...will last for awhile depending on what you use it for.

This product is like an all purpose miracle! I buy the food grade, always, as I feed it to my cats and dog for a significant help in treating fleas. I also dust them with it if I happen to see a flea on them. I think I have the most flea-free animals in the neighbor hood. I give it to tiny kittens, as well as to their mother, so they will get an additional boost while nursing. I start them off with tiny amounts in their 'wet' food (canned), and they don't even know it's there. It works internally by killing off larvae. Works on tapeworms, too. Since dusting them with it and rubbing it into their skin protects from fleas, there is no need to buy those flea collars, shampoos, etc. that are filled with strong, noxious chemicals that I would never use on MY body, therefore why use it on my beloved animals? I wash the dog with my Pantene shampoo! He smells good, and has no poisons seeping into his skin. It works ALL OVER the house as a flea and general purpose natural 'creepy-crawler' deterrent. No more 50$ a month for the exterminator to come! I have been using DE for 3 years now, and there are NO bugs in my house. Just puff-spray it around baseboards, in cabinets, drawers, ANYWHERE creepy-crawlers might lurk, and you are able to stick your hand in a cabinet or drawer without fear of grabbing a nasty bug, too! My former exterminator told me that they use DE in one of their products for pest control. Just a pound or two will last a LONG time. I have to say that when I first used it, I didn't know the proper way of application, and my carpets looked like a snowstorm had made it's way through the house! Don't do that. Get one of those squeeze puffers with a nozzle to pinpoint it right where you want it. Behind the stove and fridge, in the washroom, bathrooms, baseboards, whatever. Please be very care not to blanket your carpets with it!! 1. It isn't necessary 2. It is hard as the dickens to vacuum up, and will clog your vacuum cleaner in a heartbeat! And if it should happen to get wet, replace it. Not good for your purpose any more. But still not toxic. The way it works is fascinating. If it gets on a bug, for instance if he crawls through it, it will go in to his system, and since the DE is a natural product that won't harm you or yours (!), don't worry, but it's death to the critter. The DE is a natural product of the earth, but it's formulaic shape is crystalline, with razor sharp edges that work on the bugs internal organs and kills them. I can almost tell if I do see a bug, that it has walked through the DE, because he will be very slow and lethargic, barely able to crawl, and usually trailing pieces of leaves, string, whatever, behind him. I ALMOST feel sorry for the creature, as I AM one of those Boomer Tree Huggers, but I don't want the things on me or my critters, or my grandbabies who crawl around on the carpet. There are a zillion places to look at what and how it works if you just 'Google' it. In the meantime, I cannot sing it's praises loudly enough! I read somewhere that even adult humans put a teaspoon a day into juice or whatever and drink it as a supplement for their own digestive system. Please try it. It truly works!

Diatomaceous Earth (often referred to as "DE") is an off white talc-like powder that is the fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton. It kills bugs safely & effectively by breaking up their exoskeletons as they crawl over the powder, which is harmless to us mammals (it is even BENEFICIAL if we add it to our food or water, as it can safely kill internal parasites & worms.) This pure freshwater FOOD-GRADE Diatomaceous Earth sure did the trick! We had a small resurgence of fleas we thought we'd previously gotten rid of, so I made a small layer of DE on our bare bed, under the cushions on our couch, along the baseboards, and anywhere else we thought they may be hiding. We left it for 24-72 hours and then vacuumed up with a shop-vac. Re-washed all of our linens & presto.. NO MORE FLEAS!! :) **Notable is that bugs can not build up a tolerance to DE like there is to poisons; the mechanism for killing bugs is PHYSICAL, not chemical. Also, remember to keep your DE dry if you are using it for bug-killing purposes, as it will not work if it becomes the slightest bit wet. We have a 2 1/2 year old MinPin who only weighs 12-lbs and he didn't even have any respiratory issues, such as those darn reverse sneezes. This was a huge improvement over the Safer Brand (Model # 51702 Store SKU #578087) Diatomaceous Earth Ant and Crawling Insect Killer we'd purchased at Home Depot upon their advice that it was 'safe for pets,' yet ended up giving our pup endless sneezes and allergic skin reactions. (Upon contacting that company, they said it was neither food-grade nor the aquarium version, which was confusing to us.) Since we don't like taking chances with out cherished Charlie, we switched to this brand after reading all the reviews and doing ingredient comparisons. I can attest this product is 100% FOOD-GRADE, thus SAFE for pets, children, & humans, and is EFFECTIVE at killing all crawling insects in & around your home - fleas, ants, bedbugs, beetles, even cockroaches! NB: This brand in particular is OMRI-listed & meets US Food Chemicals Codex (the other FCC) standards! What does this mean, you ask? Well, I'll tell ya! The OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) List is the most complete directory of products for organic production/processing. The FCC is a compendium of internationally recognized standards for the purity and identity of food ingredients.. Published since 1966, the FCC plays a "key role in safeguarding commerce & public health by providing essential criteria and analytic methods to authenticate and determine the quality of food ingredients." BOOM. This stuff is TOP-TIER & comes highly recommended by this family!
