Love this perfectly sized heat deflector! Very nice quality, impossible to find. So happy I found it here. Cooking with a small grill makes heat management a little more challenging. This allowed even cooking for hours.

Much smaller than expected

I like the concept of the lava cooking stone, but it’s tiny! The one I got was only 8” in diameter, way too small for the Vision Kamado Grill. I had to make personal sized pizzas for everyone. I bought a much larger baking stone that will work on my grill and in the oven. The Vision Kamado Grill is excellent, but has very-very few up-to-date pieces of information, such as cooking with this lava and/or recipes of things one can cook on the lava stone.

This said it was supposed to be 14” so it would work for smoking. Instead it is maybe 12” and let’s too much direct heat up. I tried to return it but can’t get a response. Save your money!!

Haven't used it yet so I'm a small side but looking forward to seeing how it performs.
