So far I have not used the highest level of the system, I am concerned about the size of the pump and it’s lift height. You need to prepare around 10 liters tank, we advice you choose a non-transparent and covered tank. **Q: Bought is about three months ago, pump runs hot, raising temperature of nuetriant even after cleaning, wonder if I got a bad pump?** A: If the pump is not completely submerged into the liquid, it will heat up and cause burnout. When the pump is completely submerged in a liquid environment, its life will increase. I am using it with aquaponics system so will probably get a bigger pump, but would be sufficient for hydroponics. It will need a much bigger lift from my pond.
