Review: Tucks nicely inside jeans pocket with clip. Forget it’s there until I need it. Soooooo handy. I did purchase a 2nd one as gift for friend and he constantly lets me know how handy he finds it. Nice and bright, extremely compact. Had for a few months now and would definitely buy another if this one gets lost. If you’re an outdoorsy person, mechanic, etc you will know very soon how handy it is always having a good light on you. Ability to clip to brim of cap to make it hands free is wonderful as well. Overall 5 out 5. Update-it does tend to get forgotten in jeans pocket now and again and so far has made it through the washing machine twice and still works great. I still love it!

**Q: When you initially turn this flashlight on, does this turn on in high output mode or low output mode?**
A: On ALL colors except COYOTE of the Microstream USB Flashlight , the first press results in low output mode, and the second press results in high output mode.
On the COYOTE color Microstream USB Flashlight, the first press results in high output mode, and the second press results in low output mode.

**Q: Is it Intrinsically safe?**
A: Class 1 Div 1, intrinsically safe, lights are marketed as such. That way the company can place a surcharge on the light.   Your answer is no

**Q: will this light work with a standard battery if needed ?**
A: No 1.5v will work in a pinch you can change the OEM battery out to a TrustFire TR10440 but the onboard usb charger won't charge it.

**Q: Can you use a standard alkaline AAA battery in a pinch?**
A: No a standard aaa is only 1.5 volts these use lithium ion cells that are 3.7 volts (4.2 max)
