(TIMBER NOT INCLUDED) SHED BASE SYSTEM- QUICK JACK FOR SOFT SURFACES- SUITABLE FOR - 10 FT X 8 FT - GARDEN SHED- KIT3

I have bought two of these sets, for a smaller shed with 6 jacks and a larger shed with 9 jacks. The jacks themselves are very heavy duty, M20 at least and massively strong. Doing the base is a doddle once you’ve attached the jacks to the base. Compared with all the palaver of hardcore, concrete, slabs etc these jacks save hours of digging and effort. They’re not cheap but I thought they were well worth it, especially on an area with a steepish slope where I put the sheds up. My tip is to attach all the jacks to the frame, then rest the frame on piles of bricks sort of level and remove bricks to bring the spikes into the ground at the highest point and begin hammering in. Then take a brick off each pile until the next spike grounds and so on round. It’s almost impossible to get garden soil level where the plates touch the ground (look at the pictures to see how it works) but the spikes and plates are so heavy duty they don’t bend. Also protect the wooden frame with a board to hammer onto to avoid splintering the frame (nothing to do with this product). Result: a rock solid base almost perfectly level. Have fun!

My garden is uphill so to have to carry the necessary items to make a concrete base would have been a nightmare so this was a godsend. My shed was a 10x8 and found once the base was made it was extremely heavy and needed 2 people to turn it over and place in position. The shed has now been in place for about 4 months and seems solid. It is quite expensive but in my opinion but it’s worth it as it is a very well made item and should hopefully last.

I’ve only given it 4 stars as it’s not supplied with the wood... apart from that great system... but the wood cost me £70 on top of the initial base units

Very sturdy system for a supporting a shed on soft ground. Quite expensive but worth it.

You have to buy the timber construct the frame then sheet or floor to achieve structural strength Once done it’s fine but not the cheapest solution.

Brilliant seams a lot for them but on delivery once you feel the weight of them you can tell they are worth the money. They work so well. my tip drill pilot holes will save a lot of banging.

Timber not included should state more clearly in add very overpriced will get the components for less than half this price very disappointing

We used this to make a shed base on a slightly uneven floor. Made the process of making a flat level base so much easier. Shed has been on the base for a month and all seems ok.
