A Pocket Lab That Actually Keeps Up
Working with electronics on the bench (and sometimes in the field), I didn’t expect something this compact to replace multiple tools—but the FNIRSI 2C53T genuinely surprised me. Three Tools, One Device—And It’s Not a Gimmick Instead of juggling a scope, multimeter, and signal generator, I’ve got all three in one unit. It’s not just a “nice to have”—it actually saves space and speeds up troubleshooting. The device combines these functions into a single compact package, essentially replacing multiple instruments in one go. Performance That Punches Above Its Size For a handheld unit, the 50MHz bandwidth and 250MS/s sampling rate are more than enough for most embedded work, power electronics debugging, and general signal analysis. It captures signals cleanly, and the display is bright and easy to read. Great for Real-World Debugging I’ve used it on microcontroller projects, power supplies, and even quick field diagnostics. The built-in battery lasts several hours, which makes it practical when I’m not near my main bench setup. Feature-Rich Without Being Overwhelming Things like XY mode, persistence, and waveform math are included, which you don’t usually expect at this price point. The interface is straightforward enough that I didn’t need to dig through a manual to get started. A Legit Tool for Hobbyists and Pros This isn’t replacing a high-end bench oscilloscope—but it’s not trying to. For portability, versatility, and value, it’s one of those tools I keep reaching for more than I expected.

Excellent portable scopemeter
At this point I've lost track of how much FNIRSI equipment I own. I have at least two oscilloscopes and two of these scopemeters, plus a Geiger counter/RF/magnetic field meter, LCR meter, volatile gas detector, portable soldering iron, and I'm not even sure what else :) This is another nice, inexpensive product with loads of features and excellent build quality. I bought it because I need to set up a mobile lab and while I don't often need a scope on the road, I OCCASIONALLY need one, so buying a scopemeter was the right path. Like all of FNIRSI's multifunction devices, it's packed with useful features. All the probes you'd need are included. Multimeter and oscilloscope are full-function and the display is bright and legible for both. If you're used to FNIRSI's touchscreen scopes, well, this isn't like that - it is more like a traditional buttons-and-knobs scope, but not quite. The learning curve isn't too bad and you'll be familiar with it in a half-hour of tinkering. UI defaults to Chinese, or at least it did for me - if you don't read Chinese, you'll have to navigate blind to the settings screen, where - luckily - Chinese/English selection is the first option. It's pretty obvious how to get there. Chinese is also the first language in the instruction manual but the English version is right after it and is easy to understand. Another great product!

Good value
Item arrived ahead of schedule (took only 3 days with free shipping). Reasonably well translated manual, but unclear how to get into the global settings, took me about an hour to get the menus switched to English. Oscilloscope works well and has plenty of features for the price. Display is clear and bright, good quality probes included. Good value, just needs to be easier to switch to English. Only tested to 500KHz so far. Nice case

Decent handheld scope scope for digital work
Nice handheld scope. Had it for a few weeks and it seems very functional. Compared some traces with a 4 ch LeCrow and it was very comparable (digital CMOS logic gates). It's a small screen for sure, and the grid lines are a little hard to see even at the highest brightness. The function generator is a bit limited - seems to go up to 50kHz. Another cheap handheld scope I had (and lost) went to 1M. There a multimeter mode as well that looks functional. It plugs into a PC but I think it's to transfer over screen shots - I don't see any SW on their web site to control it remotely over USB. A good deal for sure. A nice case, some ok probes, and some misc cables to use with the DMM are included. I checked them and they all worked in my copy

My best meter/oscilloscope ever
The best meter I've ever had, with built-in oscilloscope. Great battery life so far, the industrial design and screen user interface is very pretty, and it replaces two bulkier devices with just one that can do it all. Panel buttons & ergonomics are also top notch, I didn't have to read anything and could use it immediately.

A great little multi-function electronic hobbiest tool.
Works ok for my needs. At first recharge the battery only lasted 30 minutes, turns out to be operator error. I charged it until the battery icon was full, but discovered after some research, that behind the little rubber cover over the USB charging port, there is a little LED that turns green when fully charged. Took several hrs to fully charge and have used for several hrs with the battery icon on the screen still showing full. Also note that the signal generator will remain on after being turned on, even if you switch to O-scope or multi-meter function, it must be turned off while in the signal generator screen with the play/pause button. OFF/ON for the signal generator is indicated in the upper left corner of the screen. It takes a little bit to learn how to navigate through all the functions, but well worth it. For the price, Im very happy with it.

1. Slice bread, 2. This
This is simply the greatest thing slice bread. This oscilloscope / multimeter has no equivalent in the below-$100 category. How do I know? I keep buying them, looking for an oscilloscope at $80 with $400 features. Well, this time it worked, mostly. The screen is perfect, the menus are intuitive, the ergonomics is well thought out. You can take it with you thanks to the long lasting battery. The multimeter returns correct values within 0.02 or 0.03 volt, or so. The oscilloscope give me the same curves as my expensive bench one below 50 MHz. The only weird stuff was the wave generator, which works perfectly, until you ask it to give you 1 Hz. It’s downright bizarre. The easiest square wave to generate is off… Too easy?!?

Bad Firmware and Inaccurate
So far the scope seams to barely function. Adjustments to the horizontal often cause the device to restart. Use of the AUTO button often freezes the GUI and you must wait for the battery to die before being able to use the device again. The function generator has a lot of problems. changes to the frequency are not always applied until stopping and starting the finction generators repeatedly. Output frequency doesnt match what is entered. Use of the FFT function does produce a spectrum, but you can not enlarge it, apply markers, or get any reference points, which makes it useless. Thos should be a seperate display like the dmm and oscilloscope. In short, the firmware is not yet ready for market. Have reached out to the manufacturer through amazon and their website. Have yet to receive response. Frequency measurements are much more than 5% off for example setting the frequency to 5hz produces a 20hz signal Firmware v1.0.3 Edit: the manufacturer contacted me and indirectly asked me to recalibrate the device. Their english is not very good so there is a language barrier. This has fixed a lot of the issues with the auto button freezing the device. And I believe it has reduced the number of times the device randomly restarts. Edit: After comparing reading to my fluke87 i started searching for their tolerance list, DC voltage +-(.05%+3) This is a funny way to say +-(3.05%) which is about what I saw. Not going to test the rest, sending it back today. Its good for the price, but after your first year of EE courses, you will have out grown this meter. They offered a full refund very quickly.
