Ultimate Beard Kit - Classic, 5 Pcs with Metal Box

My boyfriend is not one of the most "self care" kind of men. This was sort of an easy introduction to giving himself a bit of thought and kindness. First the kit comes in a very nice quality box, with a hinge lid (he really loves that) and there are three types of combs in there for versatile hair care. A big bristley beard brush, a regular double sided wooden comb (which I can also use to comb the hair on his head for him) and a tiny black comb for his mustache I assume. They rinse off easily and are nice high quality. He even said that he feels like his beard is less dry and itchy! The star of the show I think has to be the beard balm, it works wonderfully and straightens out his beard hair. He has very sensitive skin so the fact that it doesn't give him a reaction is a god send. (When I say sensitive, I mean he reacts to UNSCENTED lotion for his arms and various dish soaps-very sensitive and reactive skin) He even likes the light lemony scent of the balm. We haven't tried the beard oil since it has a warning for sensitive skin on it so it made us a bit leery. Also it comes with a nice sharp pair of small scissors that could be used for basically any trimming! It could be used for trimming the mustache, eyebrows, etc, so very versatile and sturdy with a comfortable hand shape. If you have a man who needs an introduction into giving himself a little TLC I think this is the perfect gift for him. (And he liked the viking design which I thought was super cute) Plus this could be a little couples moment for you guys, he lets me massage the beard balm into his face and use the different combs on his beard and hair while he lays in my lap. ❤️❤️❤️ 10/10

My husband really likes this kit. Everything smelled really good and it didn't weigh down his beard, just conditioned and made it feel softer. The comb, scissors, and brush are amazing quality and surprisingly useful. The scissors are super sharp and the 2 sided comb is really great to make sure the products are spread evenly through your beard. The bristle brush is also great for smoothing your frizzy beard or smoothing the part in your hair. Ladies feel free to borrow 😉 it definitely helps smoothing the top layer when your doing a pulled/slick back style. Overall you won't be disappointed and your man's beard will feel soft and smell so good.

I bought this for my husband’s birthday. He was very excited to try it out! He says that it has helped him straighten his beard (I guess one of his biggest concerns was that his beard hair would kind of curl up when it got to a certain length), which he says made it easier to brush and wash. He said the beard balm and the oil are not greasy and they absorb well into the hair on his beard. He also likes that the balm and oil don’t cause him to break out. The spiced vanilla scent I would describe as masculine and smoky. I can definitely tell that his beard looks healthier since he has been using these products.

First, I'll list what is great about the kit. The hair brush and the wooden comb are outstanding. Both are well made and effective at combing through and styling the beard. These 2 items were the best part of the kit. I also like the beard balm. I don't really have a reference to compare it to other companies, but it woks well to help control and keep everything in place. It also has a very mild and pleasing scent, so it's not overpowering. The tin is outstanding. Everything fits snugly and it keeps my sink area well organized. I have been using the beard oil but it's only been a couple days so I'm not sure how affective, or not, it may be. It rubs in easily enough and has no scent. I guess I could say I'm neutral on this one until more time passes. What I didn't like. The scissors. The pair I received was really poorly constructed. There was a gap between the cutting edges that I could see daylight through. It ran almost the entire length of the scissors and because of that, only the very tip if them cut. And I mean, maybe 1/8 inch of the tip of the scissors was useful. I wrote to Viking Revolution and the service was top notch. They sent another pair that came in a black case with a mustache comb. They also sent a shaping tool free of charge. I was very impressed with their communication and effort to ensure I was satisfied with their product. The replacement pair of scissors, sadly, wasn't much better. I guess that for the price, I should have not expected professional quality scissors. The new pair probably has 1/4 inch of useable blade. It will be great for routing maintaining of s beard, but I would not recommend it for anything other than snipping a few hairs daily. I may try and drill out the pin and install an adjustable tension screw on them to see if I can make a respectable pair of trimmers out of them. I think that overall, the kit is definitely worth the money and the customer service is amazing. The scissors are just the only component that is lacking.

I've gone thru so many brands of oils, creams, waxes, conditioners, and other beard care products trying to find the right ones. I have two problems when it comes to finding something would work for me. First, I don't like perfume-like smells that are really strong and artificial. This is especially true when it comes to putting stuff on my face! Unfortunately, the only products I'd found that really worked for me were products that had strong smells which brings me to my second issue. My beard has a lot of grey in it. Anyone with grey beard hair can probably attest to the fact that grey hair isn't like normal hair. It has a mind of its own. It tends to be more wiry and is extremely hard to control. Many of the more natural products I've found for my beard smell nice but just didn't do the job when it came to "taming the mane" so-to-speak. My beard would grow out looking like santa clause and would drive me nuts! After reading the reviews on "Viking Revolution" products I decided to go for it and purchased the "Viking Revolution Beard Care Kit for Men" and the "4-Beard Balm Variety Pack." I figured if I didn't like it I could give it to a friend. I am thrilled to report that I absolutely love it! The oil is totally scentless which is awesome because it does a great job of softening up your beard and then allowing you to use a balm of whatever flavor tickles your fancy without conflicting or strong smells. Which brings me to the smells! These are BY FAR the best smelling beard balms I have ever had the pleasure of putting on my face! They tame my beard down and smell so good that I want to just put a bunch of it up my nose and just leave it there! The Viking Revolution company has nailed the perfect formula for my tastes and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for fantastic beard care products!

The kit arrived today and was shrink-wrapped with no apparent damage. There is a cut out in the foam for the scissors but there are none in the package. I was also expecting a hard cover book but I failed to read the reviews from others stating the book is not included. Also it's mentioned that the oil and balm are unscented, which is fine. I'd prefer a cedar or woodsy scented oil. When I opened the box however, the scent that greeted me was, well, unpleasant - somewhat like rancid vegetable or nut oil. So far, I'm liking the wooden comb and the boar brush. I just haven't broken in to the balm and oil yet. EDIT: I contacted the Viking Revolution website and explained the above issues. Victor emailed me back and said he apologized and would take care of it. He sent me a pair of scissors and a sculpting template. It turns out that the scissors are a larger/better pair than would have originally been included in the Ultimate Kit. How do I know? - Well they're much larger than what would fit the foam cutouts in the kit box. It also has a small comb and is enclosed in a 'simulated leather' carrying case. I'm a leather worker myself and even for being a non-leather case, it's still quite nice quality. I don't have much use for the template at the moment - my beard isn't very large yet but it offers 3 different shapes in one template and seems quite strong - not flimsy at all. I was at a 3 star review before, but since Victor went above the call, I'm giving them 5 stars with this edit. Oh, and as far as the oil went - once I removed it from the foam package, pulled the plastic off and used it - the smell seems to have faded. I think it was the foam or some manufacturing, artificial chemical smell I was catching. I also used the sculpting balm and oil while out on vacation to a wedding - I liked how the products worked, and I actually did receive comments from family on how nice and full my beard looked. Good on you Viking Revolution.

This is a great beard kit and it's my first. I decided to grow out my facial hair for the first time and realized that my facial hair was going to do whatever it wanted unless I intervened. I new I needed something to tame the wild mane and I wanted something that smelled good. I asked Chat and this kit was one of the top listings. The kit comes with sharp scissors, a brush, stash comb, wax, oil and some stickers. All the items work well together and I got the vanilla sent. That beard oil had me smelling good all day long. Overall I recommend the kit.

For the price and my lack of experience, this is an amazing deal. Received a facial injury about two months ago and the department I work for requires me to be clean shaven. Due to my injury shaving would irritate and cause blood to draw around the scar. I was about to get a shaving profile for Heath purposes and I am one of few allowed have anything past a five o clock scruff or a moustache. Heaven was found. Not shaving g an allowing myself to not shave every day was blis but after a month my facial hair was getting rough and unpleasant. Although I found like I look good with a beard I felt compelled to cut down the roughness, but soon looked into beard care. I though seriously! You don't just wash it? Okay enough! My rambling is due to boredom. This kit is amazing for the price. Within weeks my beard is softer and even Fuller. I love the brush and the comb...need I mention it's wood and not some crappy staticy plastic. The oil and balm is satisfying to apply. I feel everything about this kit is satisfactory. Only one hitch. I brought an addition balm because I found this kits balm was a bit meh to apply it's very waxy and can be annoying to apply..although it does the job well and the supplemental balm costs half the price of this kit so it better be better. Sorry I'm rambling again. Just buy this is your interested in beard care

I got my kit today, ordered yesterday, and already tested it on my beard. Now it shines golden almost, and the brush is soft and the comb is very good against the skin and does the job for the balm. The balm itself has a very fresh cirtus smell and the oil I had to try on as well, gave me a great feeling all over. Great package. The scissors I can understand if someone thinks they are too small, but we all have scissors at home by now so that was not a problem for me. Overall very happy.
