The cover of the booklet shows some of the neat creative,lettering styles offered in the booklet.The tutorials are clear and concise. Example: make upward stroke for thin lines, make downward strokes for broad lines. How to stop and join the lines, use a forearm movement verses a movement from the wrist. The pages are of a thin paper that could lead to some bleed through. The pages are perforated so it was quite easy to remove the pages and make single sided copies. I would recommend this over practicing directly on the double sided pages in the book. Copying and printing them on standard printing paper is inexpensive and prevents the bleed through problem from the lesson on the previous page and is an inexpensive method to use for more practice sheets. Really nice if you have more than one person/child/grandchild that wants to learn hand calligraphy as in my case. I also found the package of Ten Classic Colors of Crayola Broad Line markers as well as the Classic Ten Colors Thin Line Markers on sale for 97 cents a box at Walmart . Between this and making copies of the book pages (including the tutorial pages) I have 3 happy granddaughters. Review: Great value - This is a great book for beginners without much of an investment. So glad I found it on desertcart.
