Can't fault the materials but it is certainly "rustic". If you have a modern living room it might not be entirely what you imagined. I guess this can be a consequence of buying online, however it was well made, had a reassuringly weighty feel and was worth the money. Just wasn't for me aesthetically, so I sold it
