The PC I was replacing overheated every time I tried to accomplish the transfer and shut itself off requiring a restart and then beginning the transfer all over. Never could get there before shut-down. It might have been very nice. I'll never know. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Helped pull off a miracle *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2009* My wife uses the original Quicken program which is pure DOS. She says it does all she needs and upgrading to Quicken 2008 would entail intermediary moves thru 2 other year versions - lots of work. I had issues getting it from ME to XP and when the screen went out on her laptop and I had to go to Vista I was sure it would be a disaster. PCMover moved it (and every other file) without a hitch. I had read the commentaries before hand and they were either 5 stars or 1 star. The big thing I took away from the commentaries was "READ THE DIRECTIONS BEFORE TOUCHING THE COMPUTER". Well I read them and followed the instructions to a tee and was rewarded for having done so. I used our home WiFi network not the USB cable and it was very quick and efficient. There were a few conflicts that needed to be straightened out...the contacts list from Outlook Express was not in Outlook or Windows Live so I had to move it by hand. Same thing with Outlook saved emails. That was the only thing that did not go over clean. The latest version lets you pick and choose so clean it up before migrating the files. Also, make sure you take off the firewall and virus scan programs on both computers. If it goes as well for you as it did for me you'll think the dollars spent were well worth it. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Not Recommended *by D***V on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2008* I thought that this product would handle the movement of my files and programs from my old to my new computer. I read the reviews and saw the problems with the USB 1.1 cable, but I thought that it was finally upgraded to a 2.0 cable. It wasn't, so I used the LAN connection and the movement took FOREVER! While most programs were moved correctly, some were not and had to be reinstalled. If I had to do it over again, I would use the transfer utility included with Vista (or at least the HP version of Vista).
