Restored lost performance on my 2007 Chevy Colorado and took me from ~17MPG to 20MPG and it runs, idles, and starts better than it ever has since I bought it used a few months ago. I usually go with OEM parts (ACDelco, for GM vehicles) but the Dorman was less expensive and it's an easy part to replace - the original lasted 8 years even if the Dorman only lasts another 4 years it takes less than 5 minutes to replace this thing. Ordered the same part for a friend's 2002 GMC Envoy (6-cylinder 4.2L engine is based on the 4-cylinder 2.9L engine in my Chevy Colorado) and resolved rough idle, "Reduced Engine Power", and a handful of codes - on that one his original part was leaking oil from the electrical connector. After replacing it, that engine runs better than it ever has before too. All in all, this is an expensive and easy to replace part that will pay for itself in better fuel economy even if the original is not completely broken yet. And if you are wondering, this part should work on Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon (4 and 5 cylinder) as well as Chevy Trailblazer/GMC Envoy (6 cylinder)

I replaced this and the issue is 85% better. HUGE difference
2008 Chevy colorado with the 5 cylinder. Had a really rough idle during start up. For about a minute it would rev up then way down and want to stall. I replaced this and the issue is 85% better. HUGE difference. It still idles a tad weird for the first 30 seconds. But this was an easy part to replace, inexpensive, and very happy with it.

2006 Colorado z71
This was a high-quality part that worked perfect on my 2006 Z71 Colorado. It was such a tight fit that I had to get some 400 grit sandpaper wrap it around it and turn it several times they take slight burrs off. Put a little motor oil around that and a little slide right in. No more code.

A great and perfect replacement
Never in my life have I opened anything to find a descriptive note inside that I may not need to use it after all, and detailed instructions on how to test the old part for failure. It says a lot that the company doesn't want you needlessly dumping parts and money into your vehicle. Now, after following their test with the old part, and it passing, I decided to go ahead with the replacement. Long story short, that particular fault code has stopped being tripped or even shown as pending. My engine runs about the same, but now I have 2 more mpg to show for it. True story. Since I still have a fairly noticeable loping and erratic idling, I'm considering replacing more of the VVT sensors, as I'm pretty sure the culprit lies within. TL;DR Even if you don't think you need it, at the offered price and installation difficulty, it's kind of a good idea, even if preventative or purely placebic.

Excelente producto. Ajusto perfecto, no fuga aceite. Otras marcas tienen el defecto de fuga de aceite por el conector y/o cuerpo. Recomendable 100%
